   Staff very welcoming and accommodating, the food was lovely and a good price. The room lacked some ambiance but overall we had a lovely meal!

   All the dishes were delicious, original and beautifully presented. Couldn’t fault the food in any way. Interesting veggie choices. Good variety and range on the menu. My mother (who is 86 and tired after a long car journey) asked for a half portion but it wasn’t possible. (Why - it seems such a shame to waste good food?) we would have paid for a whole portion. Still, that was a small niggle. The food was lovely and the staff were very kind and friendly.

   Really excellent meal. The almond and sultana tartlet with ice cream & cream was especially good. Would highly recommend.

   The food was excellent and the mulled wine was very welcome. The dining room was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was that the room was cold and they didn't have any additional heaters. We were warmly dressed but even so, it was chilly.

    The overall dining experience was very good from the service to the meal. We ate in the orangery which was lovely but slightly on the cool side. I would definitely recommend the Abbotsford Lodge for a meal if you are visiting Callander. .

    This was our first visit to The Abbotsford but we’d heard good reports and it didn’t disappoint. Food in particular was superb and staff were great. We’ll certainly be back.

    Was recommended by the B&B we were staying out, as we would never have known there was a restaurant here, no signage etc. perhaps this was the reason it was quiet, only one other table occupied. Food was excellent and well worth a visit. Service was ok, just lacked a bit of attention to detail.

    We had 3 outstanding courses! Normally we dont usually eat 3 courses but the food was so amazing we just HAD to! The food here is first class but for reasonable prices (all main courses were under £20 each). Both the quantity and quality were 5 stars! The staff are amazing (and the owner is there too) and service was excellent.

    The quality of the good was outstanding and portion size generous. Given the standard, the price was reasonable. The service was outstanding, polite and efficient. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good meal in Callander.
