On the edge of the Cotswolds, the Holt Hotel is only 10 minutes from Blenheim Palace, 15 minutes from Bicester Village and a 25-minutes drive from Oxford Centre. The hotel offers 86 individually styled bedrooms, as well as a restaurant, a bar, nine meeting and conference suites, free parking plus free Wi-Fi. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, TV, free tea and coffee. Guests can enjoy a set menu at Du Vall’s restaurant using fresh, seasonal produce or enjoy our bar menu at the Highwayman’s Restaurant & Bar, which stocks a range of lagers, ales and wines. The Holt Hotel is renowned for weddings and has a licence for civil ceremonies. In addition to picturesque gardens and grounds for those all-important photographs, The Holt Hotel can accommodate weddings and evening parties for up to 200 guests in our function rooms or can arrange for a marquee to be set up in our grounds for up to 400 people.

    Had a gift voucher decided to have afternoon tea with a friend who was visiting. Very quiet but it was a Monday afternoon. The food was nice but was disappointed that there was only English breakfast tea or earl grey on offer but we did have a glass of prosecco each. Service was sporadic but great when there. Overall a nice experience.

    Myself and my sister took mum for afternoon tea. They were all prepared for it being her birthday and brought an additional birthday cake and bubbles. The setting was classic and luxurious with large soft chairs. With gentle piano music in the background it was a truly relaxing afternoon of quiet chatting and gently getting through the delicious tea and cakes. The scones were hot and freshly made. I would have expected to pay more for the quality of food and service.

    Most of the food was lovely with the exception of one cake that was more butter icing than anything else. Very sickly. Service was great.

    Overall a lovely afternoon tea. Sat in the lunge which was lovely and quiet, and very comfy. Was a bit dissapointed that there where no cakes, only sandwhiches, dessert and scones. But this was all lovely. the scones in particular were very nice. The first pot of tea could have been a bit hotter but the second pot was perfect. Would return again so overall a good afternoon.

    Lovely selection of sandwiches and treats, and my request for no fish was catered for. Beautiful scones and really enjoyed the blackberry mousse too - something different and delicious. Great service and very quiet spot in the hotel.

    Great Tea, with a good selection of finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. As much tea as you care to drink. excellent service, polite and considerate staff. Friends Birthday and they presented her with a serving platter with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate and a piece of rasberry roulade.

    We went expecting just to get a cup of tea and a couple of sandwiches, but we were pleasantly surprise. The tea was nice and hot and the sandwiches were nice and fresh. We also had a variety of cakes and also trifle. The staff were polite and attentive but did not hover around waiting for you to finish.

    Fabulous afternoon tea. On a sun trapped patio delicious sandwiches very fresh. Cakes devine and varied. Service excellent helpful friendly staff. Very good for a celebration would highly recommend

    Very disappointed with the small amount of food and the strange selection of cakes (why was one dish of tiramisu on the plates when 3 people booked?) The sandwiches were nice and fresh though

    I came here with friends to celebrate my birthday with an afternoon tea. The location was perfect to sit comfortably and chat whilst eating an extremely tasty afternoon tea. We were looked after when needed and left alone when required too. I highly recommend The Holt. It is a really lovely establishment with a perfect layout and decor to enjoy whatever the occasion, meal or stay you require. Watching the wedding guests and bride arrive for a wedding that was being held there was an added bonus!
