   The photos of this hotel have been carefully framed and designed, to portray this hotel as a elegant, sophisticated venue. The reality is very disappointing. It isn’t a real Manor House. It is an ugly angular building, with old style brick clad on one side, to give to the appearance of an old manor. It’s located in the middle of a housing estate! When you walk in, it is dark and dingy and the first thing that greets you when you walk in (apart from the fact that there are no staff in reception), is a seaside style amusement arcade in the lobby. There is no one there to greet you. There are no signs to direct you to the restaurant. When you get to the restaurant, it’s a massive disappointment. The decor is really tired and It’s under staffed. We waited over 35 minutes for an afternoon tea for 3. To put that in context; They knew we were coming. The food selection was pre-ordered and there we only about 10 people in the restaurant. And yet it still took 35 mins to arrive. When it did, it was just ok. It wasn’t a refined experience and it definitely wasn’t worth £22 per head. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

   The Afternoon tea was nothing special. The tea had stood too long, was stewed and not hot enough The selection of sandwiches were adequate and were fresh. The scones were a little on the dry side. The cakes were ok, although they ll seemed to taste the same - none of it stood out and made me think we'll come again.

    Not worth the money. Service was poor (no plates given and no refills offered). Cakes were too sweet and did not taste fresh and also had stale sandwiches.

    Great surroundings, lovely food, very obliging and friendly waitress, but the room was cold and unwelcoming until they lit the log fire. It would have been more comfortable if they had lit it previous to our visit.

    4 of us attended and we had an excellent experience. We had 2 people with dietary requirements and both needs were fully met. Thankyou. We were made to feel very welcome and all of us felt safe. Value for money was there for the afternoon tea. I've only marked down on value as I felt £3 for a wine glass of lemonade and bring charged for a pint of lemonade was excessive and not good value. As a designated driver and having had chemo and radiotherapy I am unable to have alcohol . As I bought a bottle of prosecco for my friends I would have liked to have had a non alcoholic prosecco, e.g. nosecco £2.50 a small bottle from Sainsburys. Otherwise service was excellent. I would like to go back in the future.

    Our afternoon tea started off well, the staff were very friendly and helpful who waited on us at our table. The food looked very nice when it came out, unfortunately when it came to the scones both mine and my mother's were rock hard and stale. When I told the waitress she was very apologetic, but we were not offered fresh scones and I still had to pay the full price. Unfortunately we will not be coming back, and I will tell my friends and family about our experience to.

    Really enjoyed our afternoon tea at Westone Manor Hotel. The Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Re-filled our coffee and tea as the wind was making the pots cold. Nothing was too much bother. We would have preferred an earlier time, but had to settle for 4.30pm. However, not many other people there so not much atmosphere. Would definitely return.

    What a fabulous find! The staff were friendly yet not obtrusive. Our cream tea was served with crisp linen napkins and a full pot of tea each, with hot water too. We’d readily have paid more. Thank you.

    I took my daughter for a treat as she loves having cream teas when we go on holiday. We had a nice greeting by the receptionist and shown to our table. We had a nice window view but the good old British weather let us down. My daughter enjoyed it so she has now booked a table to take her mum for a Mother's Day treat. Next time I/we go, hopefully the weather is warmer and we can sit outside in the beautiful garden surroundings.

    The food was very good. Service not so. Also we were not advised there was a wedding reception due when we arrived and so halfway through our afternoon tea we were surrounded by wedding guests who must have wondered who we were. We were also ignored by staff until the reception had moved into another room and only then asked if we needed anything.

    Bread on sandwiches was dry. Crusts remain on one end. There was no offer of ‘top-up’ on tea or coffee. One of the scone was so hard that it was difficult to cut in two. The selection of small cakes, however, was excellent and delicious. There was a real fire in the room which was really nice and the Staff were polite and friendly. As the occasion was for my friends 70 th birthday I did not complain at the time as I didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable, but I must say I was disappointed.

    would have been nice if the sandwiches where freshly made, and not made then refrigerated for when we arrived. more tea options would be lovely. it's a beautiful hotel with beautiful surroundings. just need to keep up the standards of being in such a quality place.

    Although the food and the venue were very nice, we were a little disappointed with the service. Food was brought out very slowly and took at least 10-15 minutes from the first person being served to the last. Vegetarian options were also given to the wrong people initially. We were also disappointed that they did not cater for gluten free customers. Overall we were pleased with our afternoon tea but service is definitely an area that could be improved.

    Nice to sit by open fire. sandwiches and scones were lovely would have preferred more actual cake than the desserts was quite sickly, and when it came to paying the bill we had to search for staff as no one was around overall it was a nice afternoon tea but room for improvement

    Terrible outlook with dirty windows with stickers on. No brown bread, although shows on Facebook advert. Opened plain ham sandwich to find single piece of what looked to be cheap value and a single slice. Cakes did not taste fresh but as if been stored in fridge uncovered. Scone was plain and not homemade. Friends bithday treat was a shambles and will not return or recommend ☹️👎🏻
