One of the Frank Gehry-designed spaces, AGO Bistro is conveniently located on the first floor with access from Dundas Street. The restaurant is casual chic: modern Danish furnishings are paired with acrylic tabletops in a multitude of vibrant colours. Etched glass and vertical-grain Douglas fir also accent the space. With a dedication to using the best local produce, menus reflect seasonal changes and availability. Ingredients are sourced from the finest suppliers and farms, and are cooked simply to showcase the natural flavours of the food.

Menu is good but lunch and dinner menus are identical. We had the broccolini and the artichoke dishes which have deliciously layered flavours. My main complaint is the value - although the food is sophisticated the price is high. I do enjoy the bistro for special occasions

I enjoyed the asparagus quiche special that included salad. My friend had the salmon nicoise. It looked very good and very healthy. The server was excellent.

I love the ambience of this restaurant and it is so convenient after viewing art in the gallery. The service was very good and the waitress gave me all the necessary information I needed as I cannot eat garlic. I usually like the vegan option but this year I did not like the choice and it was filled with garlic even if I did. I find the menu very limited to begin with. I would like to see more options available especially more salad options.

What happened to the menu? This used to be a really good experience. The food on our last visit was unremarkable and the menu was VERY limited. The staff, as usual, were on top of everything. But great service cannot make up for a lackluster food experience. I hope that they do complete overhaul. It is desperately needed.
