   The food was wonderful. À I’ve eaten there a few times I have to say I’ve never been disappointed in the food. My friend had jambalaya. I had beef bourguignon. Delicious. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Calop? Here’s the one complaint I have. We started ordering about 6:50pm. At 8:20 while we were having our dessert ( we were the last ones in there) they were putting the chairs up on the tables to close for the night. It made our coffee and dessert rushed to say the least and we hurried out of there. I don’t think that’s right for a restaurant to do that to their customers who are still having their meal. Wait 10 more s when we have finished, please.

   I hate to say anything good about this place, as it might get discovered! Small, quiet and with stellar food, personal service from Chef to servers. A go- to for a bit of a splurge.

    We have ate at some of the best restaurants in the world, and this place was such an unexpected, fortuitous surprise! We had forgotten to make Christmas reservations and found Aperitivo at the last minute. Although the holiday menu was simple and the atmosphere anything but fancy, the execution of the food was flawless and fantastically delicious! It was one of those visits when the phrase "the BEST I have ever had" was muttered over and over. The tomato bisque, chicken cordon bleu, and tiramisu were all absolutely divine. The people at the other table eating the curry were also raving. This is a neighborhood gem and we will return often and start placing our Doordash and Grubhub orders with them.

    The staff was great. They were very busy and seemed short handed but handled it well. The food was just so so. The calamari was good but was not freshly prepared. The trufle parm fries were great. I had the Mahi Mahi and it seemed like it was previously frozen but the waitress said it was fresh when I ordered. Either way it was overcooked. My wife had the lamb stew. It was pretty good and better then the fish. Prices were reasonable.

    I'm a big fan. Always great food. Always friendly staff. Always laid back environment. Truly a secret gem in North Boulder/Gunbarrel....a bit apprehensive to let the word out but good people deserve, good promotion. Give it a shot - you won't regret it.

    A nice little spot to have in Gunbarrel, we can walk to it, sit outside and have a glass of wine. A little disappointed that some former favorites are off the menu. :( Mouth watering all day for the quinoa salad and it's gone.

    This was a night in which half the staff was missing. However they never did anything to compensate us for the fact that they didn’t seat us for close to half an hour after we arrived with a reservation. The gluten free bread was simply toast which came after the food, even though we were super hungry by the time they took our order. The Penang curry seemed to be made from frozen peas and carrots. I would have thought they would have offered us a round of drinks or dessert because of the mess. They could have even told us to go elsewhere when we arrived rather than make us ask to be seated 3 times over 25 minutes.

    We were very excited to check out Aperitivo but we were disappointed on several different levels. The service was spotty but not terrible. We had to ask to get drink refills and one of the items on the menu was not available but the server didn't know that so 10 minutes later we get the news. The other side of having such a huge menu is that it can take awhile to find another option. For the food, it was mediocre at best. The Dutch Baby was not much more than a pancake cooked in a skillet. It is supposed to be fluffy and greatly expanded but this one just languished in the bottom of the skillet. The risotto dish was way too salty and wasn't very appealing being a grey-brown pile of something with a little bit of parsley on the top. All in all, a disappointing lunch.

    Aperitivo's website and menu made my mouth water, so my friend and I were really looking forward to a great dining experience. First off, parking is hard to come by since mosts spots near the restaurant are reserved for the apartment/condo residents. When we first arrived, the host did not seem to care that I'd made an OpenTable reservation (I knew I'd be marked as a no-show and would have to clear that up with OpenTable, which I did.). Our waiter couldn't remember what I'd ordered and had to come back and ask again: side of fruit, not salad; yes, cream with my coffee. I'd made some assumptions about the food and presentation since the chef/owner is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Las Vegas, but our sandwiches were just "good," not "fabulous," as I'd hoped. It's a nice neighborhood spot for good eats, but I wouldn't recommend it as a dining destination.

    We were there on Cabaret night and it was packed it took over an hour to get served and then we eventually didnt order dinner because they have a one man kitchen and we had already been there over two hours waiting for out apps. Sorry but it is a big fail

    We brought my husbands family here and every single one of our meals was outstanding. My MIL said it will be a must stop for their visits from now on. I'm excited to go back for dinner sometime soon. My Bro-in-law said he never new scones could be soft soft and airy. It was the best meal any of us have had in a long time!

    The service was excellent. The most bothersome thing was the chairs on the tables (they had been cleaning for opening and we came at 5:30). I felt they should've taken them down immediately when customers entered the restaurant.

    The drinks, specifically the winter cosmo, were fantastic! My wife & I enjoyed date night! The menu didn't disappoint; she enjoyed the Gnocchi & I the Penang Curry. Great place & fantastic staff. A+, we'll sure be back, looking forward to summer menu specials! Cheers!!
