   Beautiful dishes but portions were tiny. We were only given the option of a set menu. Items took a long time. “Wagyu” beef was so chewy, my jaw was tired.

   Fabulous! Great menu options and all prepared to perfection. Well-balanced flavors and beautiful presentation. The wine menu is local and of quality options, and the cocktais pair very well with the menu. The ambiance is very quiet relaxed but sophisticated. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Go here and eat all the things!

   Really poor experience. Menu changed drastically and not appealing. Very limited selection and by the time we found out, it was too late to cancel else we’d be charge $25/person. Food arrived and was mediocre. Cocktails were good.

   We shared the lamb special (in lieu of the chops), the slow roasted half chicken, four sides and the green beans… more than enough for three of us. Rich flavours but still well-balanced. An affordable, very good wine list (the Burrowing Owl Merlot continues to never disappoint)

   We had the chef's menu which was excellent. The green beans were to die for. Jose was an amazing server with great input on the best food and drink options. There was more food than we could eat and had enough left overs for another meal.

    interior design caught my eyes when they were just opened back in October. We didn’t take too many pictures of the restaurant itself since it was a full house last night but the service and food were 🤌🏻 The only improvement would be their serving order. Everything was enjoyable just that it’d be better to enjoy tuna tartars before the pork ribs, and Steelhead before the Sirloins. Overall, given that all their dishes are meant to be shared, it’d be a nice place for hangouts or an adventurous date night

    My server, Em, was exceptional. Good suggestions and recommendations. There was a loud table behind me though - and their conversations were intrusive. The veal chop and foraged mushrooms excellent. The broccolini needed a bit more love (the parm kind of lumped together) both sides were a bit on the oily side. The mushrooms stayed nice and hot in their dish. Best bite was the opera cake. Yuzu and black sesame a great pairing. It also low-key bothers that many dishes are made for sharing - for us solo diners the menu is pretty limited.

    Found that the food was lacking somewhat in flavor. Seemed very one note. Not worth the pricing. My partner and I eat out all the time and would not make this part of our dinner plans again.

    Had a wonderful night yesterday at Archer who participated in their first Dine Out Vancouver Festival this year! We ordered the Cream Puff + Cheesecake + Sable Fish + Striploin +Scallop + Bison Tartare. It was really hard to decide on a favourite with every dish beautifully plated and hitting the spot! The desserts surprised me the most here. The cream puff was massive and light with the lavender whipped ganache, earl grey jelly, and pink grapefruit curd. And the choux pastry was baked perfectly! And I was so glad my husband chose the cheesecake! The mint & greek yogurt, yuzu crème, lime toasted graham in the cheesecake made this dish taste like a mint mojitos in dessert form! Everything was flavoured very well ! My only feedback for improvement would be the scallops which was a bit over cooked. The staff was very friendly and took the feedback back to their kitchen staff for further improvements and I didn't hesitate to finish the dish cause it was still very delicious nevertheless! This restaurant will definitely be one I look forward to return to try their regular menu!

    Went to try this restaurant for dine out and we find normally the food quality isn't as good during dine out but we really enjoyed all our courses here. Portion sizes are a bit on the smaller side depending on how much you eat. I wasn't overly full after 3 courses for once but my partner was still a bit hungry.

    love the layout of the restaurant, especially I sat on the booth and next to the plan, which looks kinda private. For the dine out menu, I would say worth the value. Appetizer portion is small but tasty. Love the yogurt cheesecake at the end.

    I wasn’t expecting much based on the reviews I’ve read of Archer recently. Did the $65 dine out menu - Bison tartare; just OK, underseasoned and such a tiny portion. Sablefish came out cold and cold fish is never enjoyable, but presentation was beautiful. My sister had the steak with foie gras and really enjoyed it. Dessert was the best part of the evening, I ordered the cheesecake and it hit all the right notes. Cocktails (our table tried their old fashioned, the Sakura and a Manhattan) were nothing to write home about. Music was deafeningly loud and playlist was something that belongs in a club, not a high-end restaurant. Threw off the ambiance and overall experience. Not memorable enough to rush back. It’s hard to get past a cold main.

    Celebrated a Birthday at Archer. We had the Sable fish and the steak for entree. Very good quality tasting food and desserts. Best Dine out menu we tried so far this year. Our server, Andrea was very friendly too. They even added “happy birthday” on the dessert for the special touch. 👍

    First visit to Archer's and tried the dine out menu. Love the modern decor and great vibes. The food presentation was amazing and very tasty.... I thought I was eating at a five star hotel! I ordered the strip loin and it was very tender and the foie gras added a vey nice touch. Enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back again soon!

    Came for dine out, had the beef tartare, steak and cheesecake. All of them were amazing. Great sized portions. It looks like they update their menu quite often, looking forward to trying something new next time.

    Really underwhelming experience. Very annoyed that I paid $500+ for 2 people for NYE set menu where the food was mediocre, service was inexperienced, and the wait between courses were so long and uneven we left early so we wouldn't miss the countdown at home with friends and family. If you guys charge top tier restaurant prices, people will be expecting top tier service and food. Unacceptable, this cost more than L'Abbatoir and wasn't nearly half as good. Have no idea what happened, the food was coming out soooo slow from the kitchen. Won't be coming back.

    We decided to try the restaurant on our anniversary but it did not live up to the hype. We ordered four dishes and we did not like any of them. The cauliflower steak was covered in sauce but not in a good way. The octopus had a weird texture (soft) and the sauce had no flavor. We barely had any of the octopus and the server was kind enough to remove it from our bill. We did not taste any squash in the winter squash veloute. It just tasted bland. Lastly, the pork chop. It had no flavor and it was hard to chew. We had maybe one or two pieces of the pork chop and that was it. The servers were great but the dishes were disappointing. We barely ate two dishes out of the four and we paid over $200 for the meal (including 3 drinks, and the octopus was removed from our bill).

    Every Christmas we try to find a new restaurant to try in Vancouver that has tasting sounding food and dessert that both of us would want to eat. Bonus is a good drink menu and/or wine menu. Archer met all of that and did not disappoint. The family style menu was perfect as we always share our plates so we can try more dishes. The staff were excellent as they were all attentive and friendly. Will likely be back in the future as the menu changes with the seasons (though hope they keep the flaming cheesecake as that was omg good).

    Thought food was good but not quite deserving of price. The dishes were slow to come out, table of 2 took about 2.5 hours start to finish for 5 dishes with long gaps between at times. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Overall wasn't impressed spending $300 (tip included) for 5 dishes and 3 drinks that were good, not great in our opinion.

    Server wasn't nice. Made strict rule to order wine (no tasting to get bottle although they are the ones selling by glass), have to order appe, entree all together. I dont get it why you guys have to be too lazy to do. the restaurant is small to offer better service. food is way costly and super small portion. The taste was okay, nothing too exciting or special about flavor tho.

    I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, however it was quite disappointing. My partner ordered a drink and it took quite a long time to come. We ordered the octopus (was cold aside from the potatoes), the ribs (over done, dry, and tasted of only vinegar), the liver parfait (didn’t taste of anything), and the sea bass (it was okay, but nothing I would order again or recommend to a friend). I hate to be so negative but honestly this was such a miss, especially when the price point is quite high. I think the food does look beautiful (kudos to whoever is playing), but that’s about it. I was surprised that hand towels weren’t provided with the rib course either.
