Our first time here, but it won’t be our last. We came for Houston Restaurant Week and everything from beginning to end was perfect. The salmon and duck were absolutely delicious. Portion size was perfect for a 3 course meal. The bread was crisp and soft. I am only saddened that they are moving locations in October. The space is intimate and welcoming.

Rafael was incredible and the entrees were amazing. I did find the appetizers to be a bit lacking in flavor and wish there was maybe light music playing in the background to create more of an ambiance but the restaurant set up itself is beautiful.

We had 1pm reservations for lunch. We were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. Our order was taken and explained and the food arrived in a timely manner. The server checked often to see if the was anything we needed. A very pleasant experience. The food was delicious.

I have made it a weekly habit to meet friends and business associates at Artisan's for lunch. It is wonderful place to meet and to enjoy superb French food. My wife and I enjoy sitting at the Chef's Table in the evening. We love the mix of privacy but in a room full of cooking and enjoyment.

Great venue for my wife and I for date night. Service was amazing, chef/owner came to check on us while we were sitting at the chef‘s table. Food was phenomenal and overall a great quiet romantic ambience to spend quality time with your loved one.

Met Chef Fox - super friendly chef! He introduced himself and made the dining experience more pleasant, friendly, and personable. The food is on the smaller portion-side but for Houston Restaurant week, it's still a good portion.

We went for the first time while having a staycation in Houston, I would definitely go back. It happened to be restaurant week and the menu was very interesting, very good value for the price. Even without restaurant week we were looking forward to trying a lot of the menu items and they were delicious. Definitely would go back.

Dining at Artisans is a great experience. In a party of six, five of us tried the six course fixed menu that a friend had recommend. Each course was delicious, beautifully presented and appropriately explained. Each course seemed a bit small but not one of us could finish desert. Service was good but slowed just a bit when demand seemed to peak. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. The only negative we can share is that our table of six was in the middle of the main in/out traffic pattern and customers and servers squeezed by one of the entire night. Artisans is not inexpensive but the food and overall experience are worth the cost.

We were pleased with quality and value of the prix fixe lunch French-themed menu @$25 each during Houston Restaurant Weeks. The well-prepared pork and shrimp entrees were delicious, as was the soupe de jour. The $5 upcharge for dessert was not anticipated, but acceptable. We were sorry to learn of the planned interruption in business from August 19 until October caused by relocation from Midtown to Westheimer @Bering Drive. Looking forward to checking out the new location.

Food was nothing to rave about and somewhat unremarkable. Portions were small and attractive plating attempted to hide that. Waiter was fouled mouthed and full of antidotal stories we didn’t want to hear. His hygiene also needed tidying up. Wine was a little pricey. We won’t return.

I’ve been here at least 20 times, I came yesterday for the first time in months and unfortunately it had gone down in quality with service. Drinks were delicious, and tasting was still very good - but unfortunately the new MOD has a bias he works off of, where you have to look the part to be in the restaurant. I was at first refused to be seated(has never happened in the 20 times I’ve been) because I was wearing a plain black t- shirt. They finally sat us down in a hidden part of the restaurant(MOD said we couldn’t be seen on the main dining floor) where we proceeded to order the tasting menu and spend about $450. I let them know it was our anniversary, but the restaurant didn’t make it special in anyway(didn’t even write happy anniversary on the dessert). It was quite obvious the new MOD treated us poorly because it didn’t look like we had money. Very unfortunate. Here’s the kicker - When I went it the restroom I saw at least 2 other people seated in the main dining area wearing plain tshirts. Sure felt good to be discriminated against. I really hope this manager is not at the Westheimer location.

Simply a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, we felt as though we were the most important people in the room. Service was outstanding. The food was exquisite. Had a wonderful Birthday celebration Friday night. My wife ordered the 6-course tasting and I selected the 7-course, allowing us to taste a larger variety of the tasty preparations. We ordered the wine pairings as well which we highly recommend, as both the food and wine was enhanced with the combinations. The service was professional and prompt and we particularly appreciated the detailed explanation of each course and associated paired wine. The food was beautifully prepared with the beef fillet with peppercorn sauce as perhaps the most memorable. We will certainly return.

The service, as always, was spectacular. The server knew the dishes and could discuss the seasonings in the sauces! However, this time the pistachio encrusted sea bass wasn't nearly as good as other approaches on earlier visits. The chicken, while very good, was a little dry. Escargot was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!

The ambiance was amazing. The chef tasting menu was so good, I highly recommend the 7 course meal as it had my personal two favorites which were the lamb and salmon. The manager was the person giving us information about the food and wine pairing, and he was super knowledgeable and kind. Just a heads up the tasting takes about 2 hours and they tend to stop serving this at 8pm. They made an exception for us this time, but don't expect that often. We got the 6 course and 7 course to try all the options, and got the wine pairing which ended up being a $430 meal (tip included). Definitely a fun splurge date. The food is amazing and the date can be cheaper if you just order a specific entree.

I had been to Artisans a long time ago and it was so much better than my resent visit. The decoration looks old, the place need some maintenance. Service is very good but the time it took between first and second dish was way too long 30 minutes, maybe more. I asked if the food was ready and the polite answer from the waiter was that the food is made from scratch. Bad answer for someone who has a lot of experience in restaurants. When you receive an order you have to start preparing the second basics of the second dish to have it ready by the time the first dish is consumed. And the error is more evident when you see that the customers that arrived later than you are served first. It better to say we had a confusion or mixup in the kitchen, ask for an apology and keep on wit the service. The food was good but the steak au poivre was not very tasty I’ve had much better au poivre at other steak houses. Not going back , to that place unfortunately.
