Welcome to Banksia

We are a modern Australian restaurant in Caulfield North. We are open every night for dinner.

Our dinner concept is the Spread. Food isn’t fuel. Great food is a catalyst for conversation and warmth. It’s all about sharing: Can you pass over that salad? Can you pass the butter, its delicious?
All the mains are $40 except for the Marble Score 6+ Eye fillet at $55 & it includes sides.

Allergens & Dietary Requirement? We haven’t yet had a request that we couldn’t honour.

Our first time experience at Banksia was under whelming, sorry to say. Whilst very close to home, it lacked in service and food. Staff were nice enough but just didn’t seem to have it together for a smooth flow.

We had a wonderful evening. Food was exceptional, very delicious. Owner was more than accommodating. Ambience was very pleasant. That was our second time and we will be back for more.

An absolute neighborhood gem. The "Spread" is incredible value and forms a complete meal. The owner/chef is personable and the atmosphere is very comfortable.

The food was delicious. We had fish, our friends chicken. All 1st class cooking & flavour. The sides were delicious and those potatoes are the best. We will definitely return.

It was my second time visiting and while the menu has changed since last time, the food quality, wine options, service, and atmosphere are all still wonderful. This is a fabulous city quality restaurant and continues to be a lovely experience to enjoy with others where you don’t feel rushed. We’ll definitely be back.

We were greeted by name on arrival with a warm welcome. The dining room has a nice ambience and has lighting that you can see your food. Speaking of food, it was delicious and plentiful for two. There was a special promotion when we dined which included a lovely glass of wine. We chose a Pinot noir, very nice indeed.

Second time back for dinner in under a month. The food is wonderful ( great produce, perfectly prepared and presented) and lovely wine list. Value is excellent ( $40pp for a main but with a table full of sides and salad). Staff super friendly. Lovely atmosphere but not at all pretentious. Just a wonderful place for a top quality finer dining dinner at a great price. Highly recommend.
