Welcome to Bear & Crown! We’re a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Downtown Sacramento bringing a taste of the UK to California. We blend our family's British heritage and love of food & drink with our California home, offering a modern spin on the pub experience. Great restaurant in Old Towne, Sacramento with wonderful ambiance. I think they are having trouble finding staff. The server that helped our server was fantastic, ours not so much, and we had to pay our bill at the bar because we had a concert at Golden 1 & waited & waited to pay our bill. The salmon was delicious but the chicken on the chicken salad needs improving. Super fun British Pub atmosphere.

Thank you Bear & Crown! We had a great time enjoying food & drink during happy hour. Our waitress was great! She new when we needed more time & when needed her 👌 Then there was a surpriseing event/entertainment later on. Super fun night! Thank you!!

Food and staff were great, so was the atmosphere. Would have liked the fish and chips to come with 2 pieces of fish for $25, but it was really good! Bread pudding dessert with ice cream was excellent!

The food was delicious. The noise made the ambiance less than enjoyable. I was with a group of women all of whom needed the restroom. The women's restroom was out of order and no one was fixing the problem. The waiter acted like it was no big deal. It needed a plunger from what he said so some employee should have tried to solve the problem. This definitely made our time there less than great.

Line waiting no one at reception helping. Had reservation and got a hold of a bartender who got someone to seat us, but after that, fun place during World Cup and food and drink was delicious!!

Cottage pie and Bangers and mash were amazing. We drank Tennents and watched the World Cup. Great evening!

Such a great venue and concept. Food was overall good but the kitchen struggled to get our food out in a timely manner and completely (kitchen was understaffed). Server was great. Drinks were very boozy in a good way. The inside ambiance and decor was great. The outdoors was not as pictured on the sites and rundown. Benches creaked and felt like they will fail at any moment, the tables are a splinter waiting to happen, overall is just neglected and after thought. I would definitely come again but maybe eat indoors and on a day or time when the kitchen is staffed correctly

Bear&Crown was great yesterday. The fish and chips were great, and so were the service and atmosphere. It was fun to shoot some pool there, too.

The food was good but the service was very slow. My sister in law ordered a margarita and it took them close to 20 minutes to make it. For a $22 drink, they should have prepared it a lot faster. The salmon that my mom and I had was good but they were out of some beer options and the Spanish rice that the salmon was supposed to come with.
