   Creative menu with good choices. Lamb bolognese is unique with Mediterranean flavors. Somewhat enclosed patio dining can be a bit cool and breezy but great view.

   Have a lovely birthday dinner with my husband and enjoyed every bite! The food was visually appealing and tasty! The cocktails were delicious. The pace was comfortable and not rushed. And our server Christina was fabulous! It was a perfect evening and we'll definitely be back!

   A varied menu with plenty of choices from octupus to pork chops to chicken. Entreses range from about $30 to $45. A nice selction of appetizers including lamb meatballs, hummus, etc. Quality of the food and service were excellent. Also a nice wine list.

   The view from the balcony is pleasant and parking under the restaurant is convenient. All the cocktail options sounded great and the ones we tried were delicious. The food menu was the same, really no bad options and we were extremely happy with what we got. Our waitress was very attentive to a food allergy and staff overall provided great service.

    We went for Mother’s Day and it was a great experience. We had a very nice table with a view and the service was excellent. Our drinks came out immediately and we were checked on multiple times which was very nice. Both appetizer and food were very good. I will definitely be back.

    Weird that you can’t make changes so we wanted the chicken sandwich without cheese but they couldn’t do that. Had reservations and it took SO long to seat us. Super long line out the door causing a bottleneck. Will not rush back.

    We came here for Mother’s Day brunch. The venue was nice. perches over 12th street and has some ocean view ( but there was no sun today so the water was murky and just blends in with the grey sky). The server was very nice, however the food was greasy not tasty. Putine bowl was dropped in oil, burger has a layer of cheese that was deep fried and quite burned. My French toast was awful, I don’t know what bread they used to cook this but the sides are neither crusty nor soft but super tough and I couldn’t even cut the toast. My daughter said her vege omelette was good. Trio dip and crab cake were ok too.

    Service was a little slow, seemed to be a staff issue. There seemed to be some confusion on table assignments. Once they had that figured out, our server, she was great, We ordered the Sea Bass and Filet mignon, ordered medium rare, was a little more on the rare side for me but still good. Overall a good experience. This was our first time there. Will go back and try again. Everyone has an off day.

    This was my fifth or sixth time at Beeside, I was super disappointed, and unfortunately will be the last. The food quality was a big mess, especially considering the cost, the pork chops in particular were kind of concerning, one was super overcooked, dry, and avoid any flavor, the other was seriously undercooked and rare in the middle, when we asked the server to take it back, she told us that it was medium, rare, and supposed to be that way. portion not be served over cooked, but neither shouldn’t be served that undercooked, we had quite a back-and-forth while she tried to convince us to re-fire the same chop, we ended up getting a fillet instead, but the difficulty in overcoming her, trying to strong arm us into keeping an unsafe product made it not worth the evening. Sorry to say again we won’t be going back as there are too many other great restaurants in the area.

    Came here for an early mother's day lunch. Arrived for our lunchtime reservation and did not get greeted by the hostess for about 5 minutes. She was too busy running people's credit cards. She finally acknowledged us and asked us to wait for them to clean the table. Another 5-10 min go by and we're finally seated. I ask the hostess for a high chair. 25 min later we have not received a high chair or talked to a waiter. We finally flagged down our waiter and they took our order gave us the high chair. We wait a good amount of time for our food and noticed that others who ordered after us were receiving their food first. Food was mediocre. We didn't finish our food and asked for a box. The waiter and manager apologized at the end of service and gave us a free dessert. We paid, left the restaurant and realized they tossed our food and didn't box it. Stay away. Would not return.

    This item was confusing, it claimed to be a whole filet of branzino. It was not a filet, it was a whole fish with the head cut off, Filet, and whole fish are Two different things. filet is cut off the bone. If you don't want to deal with cutting the fish away from the vertebrae and bones, do not order, cuz, I got a whole branzino with the head cut off. it was not a filet.

    ambience is nice and very cozy.. food is fine and pricey.. drinks and cocktails is really good.. the only thing wont recommend is to celebrate birthdays there and expect to have a little in the house like a piece of dessert from the restaurant but overall its okay and pretty decent..

    I love Beeside Balcony! Great spot in Del Mar with amazing food and creative drinks. The Lavender Bee’s Knees cocktail is exceptional. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my husband ordered the Double Pork Chop. Both were cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back!

    This was our second visit to Beeside Balcony. Our first time was for appetizers and we loved the food. The second time was for dinner and we were disappointed. We all ordered salads and the Caesar salad dressing was off and the chicken was in huge flavorless chunks. One of our guests thought the chicken was under cooked and the server looked at it and said our guest was wrong. Prices were high and did not reflect the quality of the food.

    Excellent selection of plates to share and range of entrees. ƒor starters, enjoyed the crab cake ($18), little filling, mostly crab, about the size of a tennis ball, and the meatballs (three for $16) -- lamb meatballs with a tasty red sauce. For entree, we shared a filet ($46). Fine cut of meat and they sliced it for us. With tasty rosemary fries. Guests at next table raved about the mussels ($26) in white wine, butter and herb broth. Friendly, attentive service. Was a chilly spring night on the balcony, but enough heaters around to make it okay. Corkage: $25.

    The wait staff kept interrupting our conversations to reach across and pour water into half full glasses multiple times We barely finished and we're asked if the plates could be cleared The food was okay but not great Felt like a diner experience I would not return especially since the reservation i thought was for outside balcony and we were given a table by the kitchen

    Everything about the restaurant is great, meaning great views and service but the food wasn’t good. We ordered a cheeseburger and the meat had no flavor. I had the shrimp toast for $20 and while it looked fantastic it was too greasy and drenched the toast. I think it was greasy because there was layer of fried cheese or something that was too much for what I was expecting to be a somewhat light and healthy entree. The arugula on the toast was excellent.

    Everything was amazing except for the hostess, I checked before going to see if there was openings and plenty of reservations slots were available so I decided to go without a reservation. The hostess was very rude when hearing we were walks in and refused to seat for the next 2 hours despite having open tables. Came on here and made a reservation for 10 minutes after speaking to her and got seated at our reservation time. We ended up waiting about about 10 minutes instead of 2 hours, food was good but won’t be going back

    They were completely unprepared to support our reservation time. And they couldn’t even give us an estimate of when we could sit. We were seated 45 minutes late, but they have a15 minute grace period. That seemed to be the case for several other groups as we waited to be seated.
