Belgard Kitchen is the restaurant component of the ’Vancouver Urban’ Brand Collective, alongside siblings Vancouver Urban Winery, Van Urban Cider, and Van Urban Beer Co. Inspired by fresh ingredients and local producers, our food menus highlight Canadian ingredients from east to west, taking influence from techniques across the globe, while our drink menus showcase BC wines and craft beer & cider made in house.

Open daily, we offer weekday lunch and Happy Hour, weekend brunch, and dinner seven nights a week.

First time here to this gem of a restaurant. The inside design is fantastic. We walked into a completely unexpected unique and funky interior. The menu was different and interesting, and the food was delicious. There were 4 of us, and everyone agreed this restaurant was an absolute find, and we would all be back. Really cannot recommend it highly enough.

Overall a great place! Flat iron was amazing as was the other goods. Wine is over pricey at 65-80 per bottle. Noise level was perfect and we were able to easily talk through the evening. Beautiful space! Just the wine cost would make me reconsider in future

Overall, the experience was OK. Food was tasty, probably value for money. Service was not great. Initial greeting was poor - the maitre'd was doubling up as bar tender but she could have made eye contact to make the 'I'll be with you shortly' signal. Also felt a little rushed by the waitress and for no good reason - the place was not busy, maybe at 10-15% capacity. I'd maybe give it another try.

We loved visiting Belgard, both because of the great service, ambiance and food. However (this was our 5th time at the restaurant), the food went quite downhill. The flank iron steak was extremely chewy because it was undercooked. The portions went smaller and the beet salad used to be divine, but now it was just flavourless and undercooked. Our server was very lovely, and she was great overall. It is just such a shame that one of our favorite restaurants is no longer on the list because of the decline in the food quality.

Lovely setting. Charming and attentive staff and all the food was superb and beautifully presented. One special shout out to our server. She walked by our table after my wife and I were served our entrees and noticed that our son had not yet received his. She immediately walked over to the kitchen and stood there, waiting for his entree to come up. She then brought it immediately to our table. Would that more waitstaff followed this example

Great atmosphere! Good service. Creative menu. Wine flights! Smoked beat appetizer was good, especially the sorrel sorbet. However, the dish (BBQ Beef Ribs) I ordered was extremely disappointing. Instead of a large beef rib or two, there were 6 or 7 sausage-like things. (I don't want to say what they really looked like). For something that was supposed have been sous-vided for 48 hours, the beef was quite tough and chewy. There wasn't a lot of sauce. I normally love polenta or corn-bread, but I could not eat the corn-based product that showed up on my plate. It was a ~4-5" round disk of hard and dry polenta or corn bread about 1.5 cm thick and cut into 2 quarters and 1 half. The top and bottom were extremely browned and tasted "eggy" to me. I could not even finish one quarter.

We were totally blown away by the top notch food experience we had last night at the Belgard Kitchen. Though the neighborhood is perhaps a bit “sketchy”, once you open the doors to enter this venue, all of the outdoors vanishes and a welcoming, warm grandeur presents itself! We had 5 courses paired with an appropriate beer. Though beer is not my drink of choice (I am more a wine person), I was happy to try each offering. The food was absolutely outstanding (kudos to the chef). Their sorrel sherbet ought to be available for “off sales” - it is so beautifully unique! We had never been there before but will definitely return!

The place is great, food and drinks outstanding and service accurate on what we wanted. The location is a bit outside of gas town and in a somewhat sketchy area. We took a Uber to arrive and wouldn’t recommend walking there if it’s after dark.

We came here for our anniversary and had the pre-fixed menu. It was a good time, but I was certainly disappointed that the seating arrangement I had made ahead of time, was not relayed to the server, and the tucked-away booth I was promised, was already taken (there were 2 booths and both were occupied). Instead, we were sat at a regular table without privacy. Eventually, when the other guests left, I asked to be moved there. Once we were in a more private setting, I felt way more comfortable and quite honestly, I couldn't enjoy myself until then. Our server, however, was amazing! She was super nice and she was always on top of what we needed. She was also very friendly :) The food was good, I really enjoyed the app and dessert! My main was okay but my husband enjoyed all of his food. Drinks were great, as usual :) In the future, I will return here for more a casual dining experience and not for a special event that requires more attention to detail.

Very cool atmosphere in a beautiful warehouse building. The food selections satisfied every diet. The roasted cauliflower and focaccia bread were wonderful apps and enough for four diners. We had a mix of pork and pasta for dinner — very delicious. Wine and beer selections were great. Friendly and helpful servers. Wonderful evening.

We arrived later than our reservation due to a bus problem, but were immediately reassured and welcomed to start our fun and delicious dining experience. Super guidance in response to our questions. Four of us, each exploring very different offerings on the menu, and each declaring a total success. For me, the waygu beef presented with vegetables and greens hit a home run. Engaging attitudes, positive outlooks, great food, and responsive service made for a memorable evening.

Crazy great. Wonderful building and atmosphere, but food and service even better. Smoked beet starter is beyond awesome and gorgeous. The spaghetti Nero is crazy, squid ink pasta with chorizo ragu, shrimp, jalapeño and bread crumbs. Going back tonight to have it again. And the flourless chocolate cake with burnt cinnamon ice cream is one of the finest deserts ever. Their own wine is the 55 meritage, terrific.

Took my hubby for Father's Day brunch. Wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never been here before. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver! So underrated. I came for my birthday with a few people and Adam and all the staff at Belgard were so sweet and made me feel so special. The food is flavourful, fresh, and reasonably priced. The pork ragu is mouthwatering as well as the scallop risotto. Everything I try there is always unreal. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on a true gem!

It's a wonderful place to spend a Friday afternoon-into-evening. No matter whom your acquaintance is, there is something for them on the menu - both for drinks & snacks. They seem to have a low staff turnover, which also adds to the experience because you are fed & served by someone who likes where they work. Highly recommended - especially during Happy Hour.

Return customer enjoyable night out good food and drink selection wound like to see brisket on the main menu. Sat at the bar again as we had great experience last time there, we will be back
