Reservation process through Open Table was great. Blaze called to confirm six hours before our seat time. When we got there we were greeted promptly and seated within 15 minutes of our reservation time. We ordered two appetizers the oysters were overcooked. We ordered nothing special off the menu and delivery of food took an hour and 20 minutes. We inquired at about an hour to a waitress that was not ours and was told the kitchen was backed up. My mom's salad was earthy, unwashed. My daughter's barbecue ribs were raw on the inside burnt on the outside and slathered in barbecue sauce. The waiter offered no munchies to make us more comfortable and after about 45 minutes he completely disappeared. His effort to assuage my complaints was $5 off $150 check. I won't go back.

We had a group of 6 for dinner. Apps included the pate, poutine, and the pork belly lollipops. Everyone was ready to fight over licking the plates!!! For dinner, we had pizza, gluten free pizza, panini,Mushroom & Gruyere, and the fries cooked in duck fat. BEST FRIES EVER!!! Great drink choices, including GF beers. The quality of the food was outstanding, and many gluten free choices with very knowledgeable staff on GF options. One of the best restaurants at which we've ever eaten, due to the unusual menu and fantastic wait staff. Would go to Bangor just to eat here-especially the fries and GF crispy pizza. 5 stars!!!

From the lack of a host/hostess to the insane noise level to the pretty awful (and overpriced) food....AND they were out of two of their 'red wine by the glass' offerings...on a Wednesday night?! (And they don't offer many by the glass to begin with....) Just BAD all-around. I even took a photo of our salad....because it was THAT unappealing. Wish I could attach it here.

We (six of us) were visiting Bangor for parents weekend and knew that we would need reservations for dinner. I used "Open Table" to make our reservation on my cellphone. This was quite convenient and later that afternoon the restaurant called to confirm our reservation. We arrived ten minutes early and were told that our table was not ready and that the "walk in" customers were still seated and had not yet paid the bill. Needless to say they lingered. Unfortunately, there was little room to stand and wait. The young, inexperienced hostess did little to assure us. In the meanwhile she seated a party of 5 and 6 in front of us. When asked why we didn't get those tables, she said that they had reservations(?? so did we?). The lingering guests finally left after 20 minutes and dinner and server was wonderful. My suggestion: get a more experienced and mature hostess who knows how to handle this situation (let the walk in guests know there is a 7:00 table coming when you seat them) and make room available for guests with reservations to wait.

Gourmet food for those on a budget or not. Delicious pizzas, burgers and tacos that are reasonably priced yet would satisfy any foodie. They also have some pricier entrees if your looking for a more substantial. The duck fat fries with aioli are to die for. As are the oysters. I love the house cocktails. Though they are for the adventurous type. The best selection of beer on tap in the area. The staff more than adequately accommodated our party of 10 for a bachelorette party. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful. The space is beautifully decorated with excellent ambiance.

Three of us went to Blaze for dinner after reading about it in DownEast Magazine. The duck and arugula salad was light and delicious. We had two pizzas - one with fig and prosciutto and one with sausage - both excellent, burger - great and the fries - outstanding. Didn't love the fried ice cream, but we certainly ate it all! Our waiter was good, helpful and friendly. He was a little busy so we did have to ask for water a few times. The manager was extremely great. We were originally seated near the door which we knew would be too chilly for us. The place was packed, but he found a way to move us - could not have been more pleasant about it. I'd go back because of him, the pizza and the fries.

The ability to reserve on line was AWESOME!!! (11 CENTRAL DOES NOT HAVE THIS) Blaze had an excellent Menu choice and the food was great. Our waitress was super helpful and had exceptional service. I got a beer in the smallest glass I Have received in a while so keep your eye on the beer menu for the volume. Some selections are 10 oz.?? The option of eating outside was great, although we chose to eat inside.
