                                                Did not get to experience the restaurant, because it was not a restaurant. The pictures show an outside patio area and this was just a hotel bar. We got there and waited for several minutes to be seated and were never even acknowledged.

                                                We were visiting Bluegrass Bistro for the first time based on TripAdvisor recommendations. It did not disappoint! We and our two guests all enjoyed our entrees: one friend pronounced the French Onion Soup the best she had ever had. I enjoyed the Pork Chop and especially the Cheddar Cheese Grits that came with it. My husband had the Meatballs as an appetizer -- a generous serving & very flavorful -- followed by the Salmon, both of which he applauded. Our guests chose Salads for their entrees and seemed to like them. Our server Darlene was hospitable and fun! She gave us recommendations for our choices. She substituted a salad dressing one guest preferred for the one shown on the menu. Serving of the appetizers and meal came in good time. The ambience of the dining room was comfortable and friendly. We were right next to the bar but it was not too loud and we carried on conversation without any trouble. I must say -- and this was the only negative -- the banquette was in serious need of repair: a large tear on one side revealed most of the inner cushion. The seating was still comfortable, but not a very good look. All in all, we enjoyed our visit to Bluegrass Bistro. We would recommend it to others and may return there ourselves in the future.

                                                Ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Jerry reserves a rental car and when he gets there there are no rental cars left? Similar to my experience. We had reservations for a party of 7 at 11:30am. When we arrived, before a word even came out of my mouth, a waitress and/or hostess walked by and said, “we’re closed”. I replied with the fact that that was problematic since we had a reservation, to which she responded with “that’s news to me”. Mind you, I received multiple requests over the days leading up to the reservation to “confirm” my party would be there. Nonetheless, she did end up stating she would talk to her manager about accommodations. After waiting several minutes (8-10), no one else had come out to speak with us and we ultimately were never sat and thus never had any of the food. I’m not sure if this was OpenTable mistake or a mistake by the restaurant, but regardless, it was handled poorly from the onset.

                                                We had dinner with the new menu. The burnt ends appetizer was dry. Flavor was pretty good but meat was really dried out. The porkchop had a spicy sauce that I would have liked but tasted like Frank's red hot. The pork itself was fine. The chicken was flavorful but overcooked. The cheese grits were the best thing in both dishes. Service was very good. Overall, not sure I would go out of my way to eat here.

                                                Exceeded my expectations. Pork chop was delicious and the steak chili has great flavor with some heat to it. Butter cake was a nice surprise for dessert. Darlene was delightful!

                                                Darlene was absolutely fantastic as a server. The food was delicious and cooked to order. The bar drinks were fantastic and on top of that they have diet Mountain Dew. Wonderful experience highly recommend.
