Branca is a neighborhood Italian eatery in Bushnell’s Basin, a hamlet east of Rochester, New York. Branca honors the storied culinary history of Italy by offering simple yet flavorfully complex dishes; in short, we serve fresh and hand-crafted food that makes you feel good. Our bar showcases the diversity of Italian amari, allowing us to share our creative process and passion, and also offers all the warm and familiar spirits we’ve come to love. In the vein of Old Hollywood watering holes, Branca is a home away from home for our guests: a place for family, a place for friends, and a place to be known and loved.

Branca is near the Erie Canal, Eastview Mall, The Woodcliff Hotel, The Hilton Garden Inn, Powder Mill Park, Village of Pittsford, & the YMCA.

Everything was excellent. But the hostess we all in our party felt she was not dressed appropriate. Very low cut top and those holes in the jeans. Not a pleasant look for a hostess in a nice restaurant.

Food was very good. We had several different starters and all were delicious. The salmon was beautifully seared and was served with a perfectly paired sauce. The branzino, a mild white fish, was excellent. We didn't sample any desserts so I can't speak to them, but I would definitely recommend and return to the restaurant.

Frito misto was excellent with veggies and not just calamari. Gluten free pasta was over cooked but appreciate having that option. Friend said tagliatelle was excellent and she lived the coffee cardamom gelato for birthday celebration. Not crowded on Monday night. Happily will go again.

First time. I would try Branca again, but not running back. Complimentary bread yummy. Service great. Lasagna delish. Pizza was a bit soggy in the center so could not pick up a slice until the tip was cut off with a knife/fork. Ceasar salad was too light on the dressing, almost indiscernable. Fried calamari very good. Lighting was too dim. Had to use our phone flashlight to read the menu otherwise it was a strain. I saw another person a few tables over do the same. Did not get dessert.

The food is very good, but the prices are high. This is the second time I have eaten here. Both times, I was struck by the expense of the food. I will not likely return for this reason. There are many wonderful restaurants in our community and many choices, so the fact that Branca is overpriced would lead me to go elsewhere.

The menu online is different than the menu in the restaurant. I specifically picked this location based on the online menu. My next choice was just as good though! It is quite small and unless you are in a booth be prepared to sit very close to the couple next to you.
