                                                            We had a lovely dinner and sat in the back which is like an enclosed little garden but it's indoors and heated. It was definitely less noisy in that room. Food was great!

                                                            I was disappointed on many levels. One, I had made a reservation for two but when my guest arrived the maitre d, host at the front desk did not bring my guest to the table. He put her at a separate table and only after I was concerned she had not arrived i discovered her sitting alone in a separate section of the restaurant. The back room was very noisy.

                                                            The service was erratic and the server paid little attention to us after taking the order. There were two mistakes with the food, one item never delivered until we pointed it out when the main dishes were served. The second the lamb kabob featuring the bread dome was served without the dome. I’ve been to Bustan many times, I recommend it. I still do. However on this particular Tuesday evening if it as highly impersonal and if I didn’t know better, I would not return. They were simply overmatched by the demand and what I perceived was improperly trained server and a disorganized support team.

                                                            Dining in the back garden on a quiet weekday evening in autumn gives renewed appreciation for "autumn in New York," and especially when the offerings on the plate are as delicious as the cool breezes of the season. The 700-degree cabbage is like butter in the mouth, and the mezze are delicious, as are the grilled artichokes. Plus, the servers are lovely and genuinely enthusiastic about the food.
