Café 43, located at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, is a contemporary American restaurant which features a locally sourced, organic, seasonal and sustainable menu for weekday lunch and weekend brunch. It is one of the most preferred venues in the city for private events in the evening for groups of up to 150 because of its stunning design, flexibility, private entrance and breezy terrace. Admission to the Center is not required as Café 43 has its own entrance.

I love Cafe 43 as a place to bring out of town guests and celebrate special occasions. This was both. I had 10 guests. The ambiance is always lovely. This visit neither the food nor the service was as great as it has been in the past. Our waitress took half the drink orders and walked away without even being aware that she had skipped half the table. The restaurant was not especially crowded. The food was good but not stellar. Service was inattentive. Maybe it was just an off day, but it wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. I will go back…and hope this visit was an anomaly.

Fantastic restaurant for lunch. Service is excellent and menu is superb. Save room for the banana pecan ice cream!
