Had a very pleasant experience with the food, service, ease of finding space and making the reservation. Very well located and reasonably priced.

Food was nice and staff were friendly and attentive for the most part. The last time we were here it was BYOB due to licensing issues. We googled to check if Cafe Topolis was still BYOB, which it said that it was. We brought 2 bottles of wine and were happy to pay a corkage charge once it was brought to our attention that it is not BYOB. A waitress that may be the manager was extremely loud informing us that we must pay a corkage charge (a staff member had already opened the bottles at this point). We felt that she announced to the entire restaurant that we brought our own wine. She should have mentioned this to us discreetly and we would have had no problem either ordering wine there or paying the corkage fee. I would highly recommend that a staff member contacts Google and gets this information taken down as soon as possible as it lead to awful customer service. I would like to add that all staff excluding this loud woman were extremely friendly and attentive. She had an attitude toward us for the entire evening.

Best carbonara I’ve had in a while! Most of the staff were lovely but one of the waitresses clearly did not want to be there. Just what we needed- good food, good atmosphere, great price

The food was exceptionally tasty, and the Montepulciano was top notch. Service was responsive and professional. This will continue to be one of our favourites.

We were seated downstairs - table for 4 - on a busy Friday at 5.45. Lovely quiet ambiance, friendly service, delicious food, great value. The perfect pre-gig venue
