Candela Cucina is an upscale Italian restaurant from Servedwell Hospitality in the historic Candleworks building. Candela’s menu ranges from classic Italian dishes to innovative contemporary creations, pizza, and brunch.

This concept from Servedwell Hospitality is in partnership with Peter Biondi. Pete has opened other Servedwell concepts and has worked at several NYC Michelin-starred restaurants. The menu is crafted and overseen by Chef Josh Riazi. Josh has been overseeing all Servedwell’s culinary development and operations since 2018. Josh has worked in several highly acclaimed restaurants; most notably, Josh was Executive Chef at Al Forno in Providence, RI. Josh is assisted by Chef Joe Melo, a Servedwell alum, who will oversee daily culinary operations at Candela.

My husband and I were celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary and of course we had to go to our favorite spot! We had Cason as our waiter and were very happy, the last time we dined at Candela Cucina he was our waiter and loved having him. Our overall experience was perfection, 10/10! Candela Cucina is our go to spot for all special occasion. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy some yummy food!

Another outstanding evening at Candela Cucina. The Veal Sprano was amazing. Enough to feed an army! The wine list is the best in the area—perfect for dining before a show at the Zieterion. We will be back!

What a wonderful experience, from start to finish, everything was spectacular. Drinks were spot-on, our appetizer, the arancini were quite good, our entrees outstanding, and the dessert, bombolini, were done really well. Will have to dine here again.

Our waitress Brittany was attentive and personable and immediately turned down the music when we asked. We were awed by the service and the food and the ambiance in the outer dining area. We 5 friends plan to return.

Very delicious and Sinatra night was incredible! Overall, however, the price of the meals were very expensive, so I do envision myself only visiting every once in a great while.
