Looking for the best steakhouse restaurant in Glasgow? Welcome to Chateau-X in Finnieston, where we serve premium British-sourced steak without the premium price tag. Known for our legendary Chateaubriand Experience, Steak Frites from 12pp, and Glasgow's Best Sunday Roast, we’re all about top-quality cuts, bold flavours, and a laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere.

We are vocal about being local, and are famous for our premium dry-aged cuts, sourced from local suppliers, and our vibrant atmosphere.

Born out of lockdown, we took a luxurious chateaubriand experience to homes across the UK. Growing our offering throughout lockdown saw demand for us to increase so much, we knew we couldn't stop when life resumed to the 'new normal' - with our official restaurant in Glasgow West End opening in 2021.

Our mission is simple - bring top quality British sourced meat and produce to our community, with a bit of banter on the side. So, what are you waiting for?

The service was 5 stars, they couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The food was the best we've had in a long time being out in Glasgow. The Pigs n Blanket, Mac N Cheese and of course their steaks were cooked to perfection. We are already coming back with friends.

Steaks weren't cooked well enough - medium was more medium rare, asked for one well done and they brought medium (rare) took it back and cooked it a bit more service was ok very busy Wednesday night

I’ve made better steak in my Air Fryer. I see why it’s so cheap now, just to get rid of it on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tables are so close together that you’re in 3 conversations at once. A selection of 2 beers and a cider isn’t up to much either. Chips were good though.

We visited Chateau-X for the first time for our son’s birthday. He loves steak and this was his choice…and it didn’t disappoint! The service from arrival to leaving was fantastic, our server (I think was Holly?) was really helpful and knowledgeable. The food was incredible, the best we’ve had for a long time over and above other well rated steak restaurants. We were a table of 4 who had starters, shared two chateaubriand with 5 sides, and also enjoyed dessert. Every dish was so tasty and perfect sized portions. We thought it was really reasonable for the quality of the food and we’ll definitely be back in the near future!

It was our first time at chateau x and we really enjoyed it, I read some reviews before we went and was unsure how it would be, honestly we had no complaints the staff were friendly and helpful, it is quite a small restaurant but nice we were seated in the back area and it was really nice. The staff were very helpful with the menu, we had the chateaubriand to share and it was amazing the meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were got were very tasty, the sauces we chose were lovely but a larger dish would be better. All in all we had a lovely experience and will definitely go back.

A very enjoyable early dinner before an event at the Hydro , Service was superb , meals served quickly and a lovely steak , Restaurant was busy and had a lovely atmosphere Would suit dates & family dining Will be back

We have had a number of great experiences at chateau-x with the steak frites deals. Last night was a poor one. I ordered the flat iron frites and my partner the fillet frites. When my flat iron came out it was as tough as rubber the whole way through. You could see white tendons running right the way through the cut of meat. When we said to the waiter he mentioned it might need cooked more? Which is bizarre. It was taken away for a good while which made it seem like they were cooking up a new cut. After all, they brought back the original steak which had been cut up and then fried like stir fry strips. Considering I had asked for the steak medium it was more than well done now. After saying I didn’t want it again as it was even more tough than before, I was offered it for free and a desert. Both waiters were very kind and stumped by how it could be so tough, however, there were a few more guests that seemed to have the same issue. I understand these happen, maybe it was just a fluke cut of meat from the butchers, but on the whole not a great experience after looking forward to it for so long.

Sadly the food wasnt the best , steak just about chewable and the Mac and cheese barely warm. Really annoying getting offered water bringing a small bottle at £5 , then asking for a water later and getting offered water in a fancy decanter for free , poor in my opinion.
