The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard is open 10am to 4pm Friday to Monday (except Christmas Day).

With a backdrop of the Glasshouse Mountains, The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard is a celebration of Australian fare. With its architecture, an icon of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, The Barrel is a place to enjoy regional food, wine, and beer with good company. We serve a selection of regional wines as well as craft beers.
A creative bistro menu includes gluten-free and vegetarian options. Grazing platters and cheese boards are also very popular. We offer friendly service and plentiful parking in our family and pet-friendly space.

Overall we enjoyed our visit. My only real criticism would be that a bottle of water was not offered. Staff was good. Prices were higher than I would expect by maybe $5 per dish but not a reall issue as the food was nice.

Overall experience was really disappointing. Was sat outside in hot sun the umbrella barely have any shade. The menu was average and what we all had was very average, lacked in flavour and the size for the price was ridiculous. The burger was so sloppy and fell apart and lacked flavour aswell.

We love visiting The Barrel, if you have visited and looked around. you definitely should! There are a variety of choice of seating areas to suit your company and mood. The beer garden is great for kids with shady parasols and the safe playground area and drinks station to help the kids stay hydrated. The terrace areas have a European garden feel with the winding vines above you. Alternatively, the inside is air-conditioned, there's a barrel shaped room, a bar area, upstairs classy darker room resembling a london cigar room and even an amazing function room with huge windows overlooking the glass house mountains and outdoor ceremony area. The beer or wine tasting pallets are great value for money and make a nice treat to enhance your visit. They have great range of wines and beers, drinks and even just tea or coffee. There is a great variety of food to suit your mood ranging from anitpasto share platters, burgers, salads, pastas, ice cream, desserts and even petit fours! The staff are so friendly and are so happy to accommodate your needs. We love making this our regular family spot to catch up with friends and I also love impressing my clients for regular meetings.

Very disappointed, the venue is lovely, the views are spectacular! Saturday lunch for a birthday - we travelled 2.5 hours to meet family and celebrate. The service was really bad and the food was only ok. (Mushroom Risotto was gluggy and tasteless. During our time there, I didn't see any supervisory or managerial direction or education for the young staff who had no idea what they were doing. We got food we didn't order and didn't get food and beverages we did order. The food came in piece meal, we had to ask for cutlery after food was delivered and were told to go inside and get it, oh dear! has Australian customer service really gotten this bad! I felt sorry for the young staff as they obviously have had little or no training and there was no support on the ground providing them with direction. Only one person at the till behind the bar taking orders and who's first language was not English, again there was no support, assistance or supervision which resulted in long delays and a long cue! Seriously, I think they can do better: (

We have a wonderful time catching up with family at The Barrel. We were greeted by staff straight away and then Sharon came over and explained all the wines on the flight menu. She gave a wonderful atmosphere and attitude to our lunch. She constantly checked on us and nothing was a problem. All staff members that had interactions with were pleasant, friendly and super friendly. Thank you so much for making our day memorial.

Very disappointed. After several earlier delightful visits i found that while the Food was good, the young staff that were on duty need a lot more training. They were not proactive and everything had to be asked for ie cutlery etc. The bread starter arrived with the meals. Also unaware it is a dog friendly restaurant. Probably will give it a miss for awhile.

BIANCA WAS AMAZING! Nothing was too much, our ‘special’ birthday dessert was put together beautifully and her service was second to none. Happy, bubbly and very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. The ambience was just right.

We didn't get to eat as we kept getting told we couldn't order food for 20 mins, which ended up being about an hour. So we gave up and went to Monteville. Disappointing when it was booked ahead, it was my mums birthday and my sister was visiting from NSW. I appreciate there are lots of staff issues in many industries at the moment but I did not appreciate the fact that the job of directing customers and advising the problems with food ordering was put onto the inexperienced junior staff, not a senior staff member in sight!

Wine and grazing platter was amazing but when we went to order food we were told that the kitchen wasn't taking order as it was to busy which it was not so pretty disappointed so we left and got food from somewhere else.

We were excited to spend the day at The Barrel, but our experience wasn't the best. The service wasn't great, a coconut vodka orange juice that clearly did not have any taste of coconut vodka was declined to be remade as the girl was certain she put the vodka in. The prawn pasta was inconsistent within our table - one plate had 3 tomatoes and 2 prawns, whereas the other had 1 tomato but 11 prawns. Easy to say one diner, in particular, was not happy with their PRAWN pasta. Poor younger girl on the register was spoken to badly by one of the senior staff (who seemed to be stressed/busy, she handled herself pretty well! Atmosphere was great, great venue otherwise..

Overall a disappointing experience today which is a shame as my family had visited previously and had an amazing time. We’re assuming today was an off day… When we arrived there was no hostess we had to line up in the food/drink line at the bar to get directions to our seat. We lined up again to place our orders and then waited an hour for our food to be brought out. The burgers were good (although the bacon was a bit under for our liking) however the warm Thai beef salad and cheesy garlic bread were both cold and underwhelming after a long wait. My family’s feedback is that the QR codes for ordering from their last visit were much more efficient and a better experience than lining up for the one till at the bar.

I had never been here before and was really looking forward to it. Sadly the service really let it down. Food was dimples on our table…. We had to ask all the questions like do we order up at the bar etc. the worst was probably ordering the wine flights and just being given to us and not being told what wine was what… experience was not great at all.

We went earlier than our booking time as it was a shocking day around Maleny, rain and heavy cloud. We were welcomed and shown a table. I was seated in front of an open main door and felt the chill. My wife liked her fettuccine prawn but my beef burger was very basic, meat and cheese and no salad, not even a lettuce leaf. The restaurant was very noisy , from a large group beside us .

Lovely Venue. Perhaps on a less busy day the service would be better - but staff were friendly - just too many customers to staff ratio I think? So very long waits. Cold food after waiting for cutlery etc. But super friendly staff and lovely venue.

Great place for busy Mother’s Day. Food outstanding, location excellent. Staff were really friendly- there just weren’t enough of them, so service was very slow. 2.5hrs for lunch with kids, bit long. Also no table service for orders. Wines awesome!

Hi, Sadly the service let things down here, staff were very much overrun, out of their depth and inexperienced. Two options for a main dish on a set menu was poor and the Pork was very fatty. The ‘dance’ club music wasn’t exactly a calming Mother’s Day ambience and so therefore I felt overall this was overpriced. Not too sure whether I’d be back, I do think the flagship menu looks interesting however… I am undecided whether I would recommend this to anyone but as there is no maybe option I shall tick no. We were on time for our 12h15 lunch. We were seated immediately and received our entrees/bread from the set menu. However, I had to pay extra for the wine taster. I ordered $22, while a glass of wine or beer for $ 30 was included in the set menu price. We then have to wait more than an hour for our main course. Then after that, we waited for 45 minutes for our dessert, which after requesting three times, never arrived, so we left. We felt ripped off as we had to pay $ 54 per head for a set menu, but the service was pathetic. This is on Mother's Day!! If it were not that we had to pay before we got our food, I certainly would have refused to pay. This is such a pity, as the venue and ambiance are amazing.

Took my mum and nan here for Mothers Day, unfortunately we all left disappointed. The set menu was delicious, can’t fault the food or the wines! However, the quality of service and wait times between each meal. After waiting an hour for the last course, we ended up making the decision to leave as we had already been there for over three hours. We asked multiple times how long the food was going to be with the same “we are plating it up” response wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here unfortunately.

A lovely location for a restaurant that is lacking a few things, I think the location actually allows this place to be classier and more expensive with a less pub like menu. From wait staff that were all young and a bit disinterested, to sauces coming out in plastic containers you’d often get at a takeaway fish n chip shop, to sponsored umbrellas, this place really needs a bit of work. We enjoyed our lunch there but thought more could be done to make this place better

Beautiful settling but very average service, will not return. Floor staff very friendly, but very understaffed. Food took 1 HR 45 mins to come, we were told a 45 min wait. Asked several times and were told it was on its way. When the burgers came they had no salad, just burger and cheese. Pumpkin salad also very average. Wine nice. Feel sorry for the staff!

We arrived at 12:30pm for a prebooked lunch on Sunday. Our meal arrived at our table at 2:45pm. We had only ordered two salads - a Caesar and a Rocket and Pumpkin. The restaurant was understaffed and overbooked and couldn't cope with the number of guests who were dining. We won't be returning.

If I could give no stars I would. Will not return to the Barrell. I had booked weeks ago for my husbands birthday for 8 people. We were seated at 12pm and ordered lunch just before 12:30 at 1:45pm we inquired as to where our lunch was and noticing the table behind us were only getting there meals 2 at a time and a bit of time between each 2 meals. We were then advised that our meals would be out in 10 minutes and that they had just placed our order. So we waited and at 2:15 ours meals still had not arrived we enquired again to be told they didn’t know how long the meals would be. We decided there and then that we would get a refund and try somewhere else as we were all starving we headed to the Maleny hotel where our meals were all served within 15 mins of ordering. such a disappointment.
