   Current is fun hotel restaurant with great ambiance and excellent service. Our food was delicious…. but cold. Thankfully it was so good, that eating it cold was manageable. We had happy hour olives and mac and cheese, but ordered the filet off the regular menu. I did have to salt and pepper it more than I normally do, but that better then the alternative (too much salt). I would go back again in hopes of a hot meal, but if it’s cold again it would be my last visit.

    It’s pretty rare I give a restaurant 5 stars, but this bistro deserved it. I ate there twice during my stay at the Sound Hotel in Seattle, and was not disappointed! The Salmon Caesar salad was perfect! Just the right amount of dressing, salt and the fresh salmon grilled to perfection, with a very nice summer Rose and I was completely satisfied. The next morning, breakfast was just as good with a perfectly cooked, seasoned veggie scramble and fresh fruit cup. But most of all the bar and server staff were so friendly, easy to talk to and just made my visit so pleasant! I highly recommend Currant Bistro!

    We were visiting Seattle and found Currant Bistro. The food we had was quite good. We shared an order of broccolini to start and followed that with the duck confit and salmon. All the dishes were well prepared with very nice flavors.

    We made a reservation for the four of us through Open Table. When we arrived we were told they couldn't seat us. (despite there being many apparently vacant tables) We complained to the manager of the hotel (that it's part of) and she found us a table. During dinner, the server was apologetic. None the less he tried to serve us food we didn't order or had already received. We assumed they were short staffed.

    I booked a table for New Year's Eve at 20:45. I showed up with my wife and the restaurant was closed. The person next door in the hotel told us that she was so sorry but they werent able to take out reservations from opentable...I bet there had to be a way to had being notified...so my wife and i had to walk around Downtown, on the ice and freeze temperature at 20:45 with of course, no luck since pretty much everything was full or closed. Best new years eve ever!

    This restaurant was closed when we showed up to our reservation on New Years Eve. The Sound hotel staff told us that the restaurant staff all quit 4 days prior. This was a huge disappointment because we had to then scramble to find a restaurant that was open and had a table available on New Year’s Eve.

    We enjoyed their special prix fixe 3-course meal Valentine’s Day special, and absolutely everything that came to us was exquisite. We couldn’t stop asking for bites of each other’s food because it was all so good! I can’t recommend this place enough, the quality and service are marvelous. Our waiter in particular made excellent recommendations and was all-around a delightful person.

    And here's why--the atmosphere is horrible, definitely can tell you're in a hotel. We had a very inexperienced waiter and although the food was good (except for my smoked salmon salad which was very dry) the portions were small and not a good value

    We came for Christmas dinner as we were out of town. The meal was delicious. Christmas dinner was chef-y twists on traditional fare. Everything you want from your holiday meal out. Four courses, set price, wine pairings extra (the pours are substantial). The decor has a Scandi influence and is modern and inviting. Highly recommended!

    We came during the lunch hour and it was not busy. Plenty of tables were available. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our food however took awhile to come out; about 35 minutes. It was difficult to get the attention of the server and what we planned for an hour lunch turned into 1.5 hours due to waiting around. Additionally, I didn't notice 'til now but my boxed-up leftovers was definitely not mine so somehow boxes were switched and someone ended up with mine.
