The Duke Of Kendal is situated in Connaught Village, close to Marble Arch Station, a superb place for a relaxing drink and/or meal after a busy day’s shopping in nearby Oxford Street or after enjoying yourself in the even closer Hyde Park.

For a few years now, the pub has been run by owner Ali, manageress Maria, and their staff, to deliver the best experience as possible during your time at the Duke of Kendal.
If you’re hungry, our Hungarian chef Victor will prepare his delicious homemade English food from the menu, and don’t forget to ask about the specials of the day.

Prices were average for London , higher than shown on the suggested nenu on here. Staff friendly , but took a while to get missing cutlery. Food was very good . Pub was a little bland but lovely and quiet for a Sunday roast.

Pleasant pub with character. Service reasonable for Sunday lunch which was very fairly priced. Beer still just below £6 which is good for London these days but £11-50 for a glass of average white wine is too much. The food which was perfectly tasty would have been so much better if served on heated plates with a separate jug of hot gravy - not difficult! Still a decent place though!

Go on a Sunday and after your meal enjoy the best pub sing along you will ever experience. The locals have excellent voices and the piano player was just brilliant.

We’ve eaten at the pub twice now and both times the food and drinks came out to the table quick with a friendly and attentive staff. Great place.

Husband had Sunday roast and I had Spicy Seafood Pasta With extra spice, which made the spice level just perfect for me and not too hot. Staff are super welcoming, and in a Sunday night at 7pm they have a traditional song along for the whole pub.

No problem seating me - it wasn't busy. Now, I didn't really fancy anything on the main menu but fish n chips - and didn't really fancy that either. (I was to be glad I hadn't ordered it, when I saw a portion pass, and saw how huge it was!) It was too hot to be eating something so substantial. So I had two small plates - squid, and chicken goujons. Have to say, I wasn't overly impressed with either - the squid was a bit rubbery, the goujons' coating was burnt (although the chicken was ok). But hey, it sated my hunger. I ordered another glass of wine, which came promptly - I thought it was just the weather for ice cream, and asked for a portion of that, too. I guess they had to defrost it or something - it took absolutely forever. Mind you, they were very short-staffed. And then my friends arrived, and there was a large, empty seating area in the bar, so we all moved to there. I was trying to cancel my ice cream order, at the bar, when it finally came - so I had it in the bar. Best part of the meal, I have to say.

The pub was fine. However, we arrived for our 945pm reservation only to find out that the kitchen closed at 10pm. It didn't make sense to have reservation slots that near to closing time.
