I booked this restaurant because my step-daughters were visiting for the weekend from Southampton. They requested we eat here because they had enjoyed their meal here last time they visited Pudsey. Although the food was very good, unfortunately, because of a very large party at the next table, the noise in the restaurant was unbearable. We asked for a quieter table but were told the restaurant was full. To add to this, a pianist was playing and, during normal noise levels, this would have been very pleasant. No attempt was made by any of the waiting staff or management to quieten the screams and loudness of this group in respect of the enjoyment of other diners. This is not acceptable. The ambience was reminiscent of a school canteen and we were relieved to finish eating and leave. For this reason, I will not be returning to East Restaurant as there are plenty of similar excellent restaurants in the Pudsey/Bradford area.

This was the first time at East after recommendations from friends and family, overall our first impressions of East were very good, The food was delicious the choice was good and the service was also very good and fairly quick with good staff that took care of you but weren't in your face every five minutes, I can only imagine on a weekend that the service may take longer due to its popularity but this would be a small price to pay for the experience. I must admit the pianist was a good addition to the night and he played a varied selection of music which was quite pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere. Myself and my wife will enjoy going to East again as not only is it local for us but reasonably priced good food too.

We normally visit East most Saturdays and never have any issues, always made to feel welcome and service and food outstanding however Saturday 20th Feb we ordered our popadoms which got put on table to side of us where a gentleman picked one up when the waiter realised and took the popadoms off the table and the guy and placed them on our table our starters arrived which where nice and then we waited 45 mins for our main which wasn't upto usual standard there was food down the side of my husbands dish which looks like it had been spilt over and just wasn't nice it was like eating lemons not madras. Our table was cleared and told we our hot wipes where coming which we never received then a further 30mins later we had to go to to the till and pay our bill, again not out usual service but still disheartening

Booked a table for 5oclock on New Year's Eve ,had a couple of drinks in the terrace bar upstairs before we were called for our table. The food from the main menu was absolutely gorgeous and the waiter was very attentive and also had a laugh with us. After dining we went back to the terrace bar and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment,an 80s/90s themed disco, which they had put on for the nights celebrations. Had a great night, stayed till 1:30am,were supposed to be going home about 10ish,but had such a good time we stayed. Thanks to everyone at East for making it a memorable night

Once again a friends get together for a meal, the food was good as usual and the service good. My only complaint about the restaurant is that the acoustics are all wrong, this makes for really noisy surroundings and you can hear conversations clearly from other tables.

Wonderful lunchtime menu, outstanding value and plentiful delicious food. I had the Chicken Kharhai and my friend the Lamb came with Naan or pilau rice so we ordered one of each and shared all for £10!!! They offer more than just curries though. I would recommend as a place to catch up with friends or business lunch on a budget. The only negative is I would relocate the coffee machine as it is very noisy when in action and it's difficult to continue conversations ( even with the waiting staff). All in all though I hope as many people as possible frequent this restaurant and take advantage of the lunchtime special menu as Id hate it to stop.

Really disappointed with the whole experience. Food was average, but service was terrible. Had to ask for a drinks menu after we'd ordered food so didn't have a drink for quite a while. Waitress was constantly hovering to see if we had finished our food which was really off putting. No sooner had we finished our last mouthfuls, the waitress had cleared the plates and actually asked us if we would like the bill?? No desserts offered nor any other drinks. Was glad to pay and leave as the 3 of us felt like we were being rushed out for whoever was unfortunate enough to have booked a table. Not a thankyou or goodbye from one single member of staff as we left. The highlight of the evening was the man playing the piano. Definitely won't be visiting East any time soon
