El Centro brings REAL Mexican cuisine to Boston! Walking into El Centro is like walking into your grandmother’s kitchen, that is, if your grandmother’s kitchen is in Hermosillo, Mexico. Chef/Owner Allan Rodriguez has brought his version of Mexico to Boston, complete with real family recipes, house-made tortillas, spiced sangrias and authentic micheladas. A warm, inviting space, El Centro’s walls are home to authentic Mexican artwork, original photographs and handmade decorations from Mexico.

Having been to their location in the South End, had high expectations...and they crushed it. Great Mexican food, nice little brunch spot, highly recommend

We were there for lunch.. The restaurant was dirty....the floor, the tables etc. There was just one person waiting on all tables so the service was really slow. The food was fabulous

Nice experience. Food was good. They were all out of red blend wine which was fine, the Cabernet was tasty. The only odd thing was they were also out of avocados which meant no guacamole option and more importantly, none on the dish I ordered, and I was not made aware of this until I asked where they were.

Came for Sunday brunch, food was excellent but service not so much.. there was one person serving all of the tables so it was very slow. They didn’t have the ingredients for 2 of the 3 cocktails we ordered.

Pretty bad service. Long waits for drinks, food, even water. Server was training (and new to English), which is fine, but there wasn’t adequate support from the restaurant.

The food here is SO GOOD. The service is fast and the drinks are STRONG. Would definitely recommend! It's just a bit crowded since the restaurant is small, so glad we had a reservation. They gave us free dulce de leche cake for my fiance's birthday and it was amazing.
