Born from a passion for authentic, honest cuisine, Embankment Kitchen embarked on a journey to really feed people. Rooted in the warm spirit of Northern hospitality, this is a neighbourhood kitchen where you can eat, drink, unwind, and truly feel at home. We believe in the power of good, solid, recognisable dishes and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish is crafted with precision and a touch of refined elegance and always prepared from scratch, in-house. The food was superb, as was the service. Happy hour was very much appreciated. We were so impressed that we came back for a drink after the show. Breakfast the following morning was equally as exceptional. Thoroughly recommended!

Greeted at the door & our table was ready, but we wanted a drink in the bar first, which was fine. However we were ignored at the bar for at least 5 mins (1 person being served, 3 people behind the bar) - just an acknowledgment would have been nice. We asked about the birthday cocktail- we were handed the ingredients list. We asked about the mocktails - they weren’t sure on these either. We had a few birthday vouchers for drinks - but we seemed to receive smaller versions eg half a glass of prosecco. The music was very loud , we asked for it to be turned down & they did this which was appreciated. Our daughter didn’t like the pizza we ordered, it did have a different type of pizza sauce, not regular tomato based. We ordered her a replacement meal. This came with sauce (we asked for no sauce). The meal returned in a few minutes.. still wondering how it arrived so quickly. It was our sons birthday & they brought him a lovely plate of desserts (foc) We were charged for both the pizza (1 slice eaten) and the replacement meal (£40 in total for a child’s meal.. of which one was sent back) We were charged for the free drinks which were removed when questioned. Overall a very disappointing experience. It was our sons birthday & remembered for all the wrong reasons. We wouldn’t return

Appreciate it’s not an Italian place but the carbonara is the worst. It tasted like a watered-down eggy soup, with overcooked spaghetti. I should have guessed it wouldn’t be great when it has the option to ‘add chicken’! Mix up with the order too, but I didn’t complain. Wasn’t a big issue. Service was very friendly and welcoming, but the wine was given in an ice bucket and left for us to pour. After the first glass, no offer to top it up. Followed by no return visit by staff to ask if we wanted extra drinks after we finished the bottle. Other diners food was fine, nothing special. Nothing terrible.

All staff are welcoming, meals served with in good time range; clean environment. Very big thanks to the young man named Will ,our 3 days having breakfast at restaurant he was exceptional helpful and pleasant.

Really appreciated how accommodating the team were. I am vegetarian and gluten free and so they adapted the cooked breakfast by adding a mini cheese omelette to make up for the elements I couldn’t eat.

Stay away from the Egg Benedict´s as the don´t know how to pouch an egg, they only know how to hard boil an egg.
