   Outstanding location and the food is delicious. But $150.00 for 2 hamburgers with 2 glasses of champagne and 1 dessert (carrot cake) seems a bit high on the value scale.

   They have clearly lost their way. The steak came out undercooked and then was returned WAY overcooked. The exact thing happened to the table next to us, which was about the only other table in use in the restaurant. Veggies were covered in sauce and potatoes came out ice cold. Overall horrible eating experience, which is disappointing given I have had good meals when the place first opened. The last two times have been horrible. Will not go back.

   Wow, talk about being accommodating! We weren’t sure if we had eight or 10 people for dinner and they were so wonderful about saying well. When you decide, let us know and we’ll set up tables for you. We ended up with 10 and service was great, dinner was delicious and the ambience was beautiful. It was a big family get together, so I did not think to take photos, but everything was delicious. The view of the lagoon was gorgeous and the service was perfect. I would love to go back here again.

    Beautiful venue overlooking Aviara Golf Course. Food was tasty but not over abundant. Service was extremely slow. It took over 2 1/2 hours to have salads & tacos for lunch. the wait to order, get food & get check & pay was the majority of the time. Servers were quick to fill water glasses and friendly/ polite when they were available.

    Was VERY disappointed in the VERY expensive ribeye steak we ordered. I know prime meat when I cut into it and taste it. Even though we were told it was prime, it sure didn’t seem like it. The beet salad was fantastic though.

    We have been coming to the holiday buffets at what was once the Four Seasons, now the Park Hyatt and Ember & Rye, and it seems to us the variety has dropped considerably, while the prices have escalated markedly. I appreciate things change and need to in order to remain competitive, and available, but at over $400 for a party of two, we felt we did not have the same experience as in the past.

    I expected a little better spread for what they charged for the buffet. I also thought that the drink price was a little high. I’m probably going to try a different place in San Diego next time and see if I can do better.

    Food and service were exceptional. Problem was it was Mother's Day, with large loud groups, crying babies, etc. Additionally it was extremely expensive for the brunch, which did not include drinks (mimosas extra $30 on top of the price) and 22% service was already added in. While service was good, it was a buffet, so that just seemed too much.

    We recently revisited Ember and Rye for their Mother's Day buffet brunch, and the overall experience was quite enjoyable. The service provided was exceptional, with a warm and welcoming staff that extended from the front desk to the attentive servers. However, we couldn't help but notice a significant disparity in the variety of food options offered this year compared to last year's Mother's Day buffet brunch. The selection seemed noticeably reduced, leaving us somewhat disappointed given the higher price associated with the buffet. While the quality of the food remained commendable, we couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the limited choices available.

    For a steakhouse, the steak we ordered was not enjoyable. The boneless ribeye, at $140, was covered in a sauce that was not enjoyable and it overwhelmed the flavor of the ribeye. The bacon wrapped filet was decent, well cooked but the bacon was gummy which is not the expected texture. Upside, the cocktails were enjoyable and the lobster baked potato was delicious. For the price I would not recommend.

    Service was slow, my food was cold and steak temp on one order was too rare (ordered medium). Waitress was very kind but I think had too many tables. They were kind enough to remove my meal from the check. Croissants are excellent!

    Was seeking a North County location with a beautiful view and good food. Struggled with a lot of restaurants that are closed on Monday so was happy to find that Ember and Rye was open. When we first parked the valet should have asked us for which restaurant we had reservations since we went inside only to find out the restaurant we needed was down below at the golf course along the lagoon. So back in the car we climbed to drive down the road to the proper location. The staff was very helpful getting us heaters since it was cool outside but the view was fabulous so that's where we wanted to sit... Very surprising to hear the choice of music. Far more suited for a biker bar then fine dining with everything from the Stones to Brick House (!) Seriously. I love that music but not for sharing a nice meal and conversing with friends. To it our table had the filet steaks, I had the full lobster tail and the fourth person had the crab Alfredo. We enjoy the asparagus, the beet salad, the wedge salad and the french fries. I was infideline was smooth and perfect full body for our meal. The German chocolate cake for dessert was outstanding and huge enough for four people. This was my first time here and I would come back (but perhaps for a more casual meal due to the background music).

    For the prices, I was very disappointed with the ambience and the food. With the restaurant associated with Richard Blais, I would’ve expected a more cohesive theme with a menu.. we did love the oysters and croissant. The sushi roll was tasty but there were no chopsticks left so we had to eat it with our fingers. The steak was also very good, but the crème brûlée corn was too sweet for a side dish. I thought it would’ve made it better dessert. I also thought the ambience could’ve been improved with less random plates and silverware. I’m all about eclectic but the place settings didn’t feel cohesive.

    Always a great time at Ember & Rye! Dinner was amazing! Cocktails are fabulous! We like to set at the bar sometimes to watch Evgeni do his art with drinks. Smoking ember is fun! Heck all his cocktails are delicious.

    (Just fyi my husband and I have been in the industry for 20+ years) Everything was great until our steak arrived. Service was friendly and we were given a nice outdoor table with a heater. We ordered cocktails and some apps and everything was lovely. We ordered a ribeye to share (16 oz $112) and got several sides. We also ordered a $125 bottle of wine, so we were definitely splurging. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came out medium well, and very gristly. I understand that we ordered a ribeye and they tend to have a lot of marbling but this seemed excessive even for a ribeye. We let the server know and she promptly put in a new order. We had our 18 month old with us so time was already of the essence, but they said it would take some time. Meanwhile the cauliflower was ok, kind of bland and underwhelming for $19. The asparagus was good as were the fries. Overall, the staff took good care of us, but the second steak was still on the medium end (pink center) not medium rare (red center). It’s a beautiful place and we will most likely come again and perhaps order a strip or filet next time.

    This was our second time dining at Ember & Rye. Unfortunately our experience this time was not as good as our first. While our service was excellent, the quality of the food seems to have gone down substantially. Nothing was bad, but the quality was much more like a standard hotel restaurant vs. the fine dining price point being charged. The area that we sat in - around the corner from the main dining area, also felt like sitting in the dining room of a hotel lobby restaurant. Overall, the quality of the food and the atmosphere did not match up with the high price point.

    Top notch food across the board. Our waitress for friendly and never pushy. A fantastic experience for a special occasion. It is pricy but that is expected with fine dining. Highly recommend!

    Came here to celebrate my dad’s 65th birthday. We heard how delicious the swordfish here was. We ordered that, bone marrow, beef tartare, ribeye, burger, and crab pasta. Everything took at least one hour to come out, maybe longer. I loved the bone marrow and beef tartare. My mom enjoyed the croissants. Everything else was meh. We were a bit disappointed.

    Set on a beautiful golf course Ember & Rye really had great ambiance. Our server Louis was great! Easy to talk to & gave us wonderful recommendation for a Mezcal cocktail that was great! For an appetizer we had lamb spring rolls that were yummy. My main course was Branzino that was light & good portion, as well as beet salad that was a portion big enough for 2. Will definitely come back to explore other food items.

    The service was great and friendly... but we were disappointed in the food. Maybe there was too much hype in visiting for the first time but there was nothing that stuck out as outstanding... except for maybe the garlic croissants to start as it seemed like a unique start to the meal.
