It was really great, as always.
The food and service was outstanding but wine was over priced but still good
The food was under seasoned and greasy. I was pretty disappointed, especially since it wasn’t inexpensive. Once my friend arrived the service was pretty attentive. It was also kind of dark, which was a little annoying.
I have the sea bass; it was cooked beautifully. The mac n cheese and artichoke were also very good. Enjoyed the food and the beverages. Cant wait to see the menu for next week.
I had the 8 course Plant Based Bruch and it was outstanding. Everything was delicious. The food left you feeling satisfied but not stuffed. Just an overall great experience. The Waitstaff were also top notched. Big smiles, eager to meet your needs, some of the best service I’ve experienced in a restaurant. I would highly recommend Equinox.
Great vegan tasting brunch. Excellent service.
Really great and alway changing tasting menus! A favorite!
This is a fantastic restaurant a short walk from The White House. The menu has excellent options for most people. We really loved the vegan options-which were plentiful. We enjoyed the heart of palm cakes and the pasta pesto entrée.
The atmosphere is beautiful with hanging plants and dividers between tables as Covid precaution-but it makes for an intimate setting for your table.
The staff was very helpful and attentive.
I highly recommend this restaurant-in particular a great choice for families such as our with a mix of plant based and carnivore diets.
Our server was friendly and helpful. Two out of 3 dishes floored us with their deliciousness. The curry was the best i have ever had, not soupy or heavy, just perfect. The seabass was cooked so that it feel apart in my mouth, so buttery. The artichoke appetizer was just okay in comparison but i can't wait to go back to try many other menu options. We had a nice corner table on the patio, which was normal city noisy with traffic going past. We had a quiet dinner until a very loud talker was seated next to us, but thankfully we were on our way out at that point. Wish we had room to try their dessert options. Overall, perfect date night.
Jorge was great, but there was one member of the waitstaff that was difficult. Happy when Jorge took over.
Everything was delicious! Can’t wait until the next brunch.
Ordered drinks. Didn’t know what a gin Ricky was. Out of draft beer.
Food: Asked for salmon cooked medium. It was over done and dry with some barbecue sauce smeared on top.
Three pasta dishes: pesto had no taste whatsoever and ragu papardelle had not one piece of meat in it!
Overpriced bad food.
Unable to accommodate garlic allergy. Was left with very few options.
Cute restaurant with great selections, amazing ambiance, and courteous & welcoming staff!
ac up too high , staff was hard to understand
Todd Grey remains one of the best chefs in the city. His staples are always good and his surprises make the evening special.
I had such high hopes for a really well ranked vegetarian brunch and was sorely disappointed. While it was a lot of food, frankly, that doesn't mean anything when the quality was lacking and style was very out of date. So many great chefs and restaurants in DC are highlighting the potential of vegetables, transforming them or simply elevating them with high quality produce and interesting spices and levels of heat. But what Equinox provides feels like an unevolved approach to vegetarian food. When your first "dish" is two slices of sesame but flavorless bread with unexplained mango chutney, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the meal, which also included wilted arugula, curry without any complexity or heat, and a trio of very unfortunate desserts. I'm really at a loss as to why this is so highly ranked vegetarian option when there are vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the District that understand vegetarian doesn't just mean "leave off the meat" like it was 1998, though I guess it's quite cost beneficial for the restaurant to take that approach.
You cannot go to DC without having Equinox's brunch! It's a ton of food, all delicious, perfect variety of ingredients, healthy/indulgent, etc. The ambience is lovely and the service is incredible. Plus, you get unlimited tastings of things you want more of! (Although the portions are generous to begin with.) Don't miss this!
As vegans, it is rare to find a wonderful fine dining place. This is it!
Over priced for what you get, don't how it got four and one-half stars. Hard to trust review ratings after this one.
Equinox is a terrific restaurant. My husband and I dined there for his birthday. While the decor is looking a little tired, the seating was thoughtfully planned so that each table had some privacy. Our waiter was courtesy, funny, helpful and knowledgeable. The vegan tasting menu was very good, and well thought out.
We ate only the vegetarian options and were pleasantly surprised. George and the rest of the team were great.
Service was wonderful, especially considering staffing challenges. No way to reserve an outdoor table online, so if you want that, get there early even if you have a reservation. Amazing brunch for vegans. What a treat to have a menu prepped for that rather than picking and choosing.
Loved it and will be returning! Their vegan brunch was a culinary treat. Service was great, very attentive but not pushy at all. I only wish that they also had a vegan night for dinner!
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I will be returning very soon
The plant-based tasting menu was excellent. And the service and presentations were superb.
I’m vegan my husband is not. Great options for both
Great vegan options, great cocktails and wine list and super friendly staff.
Every course was fantastic. Our favorite was the schwarma dish.
Great experience we we dinner here again.
Very nice dinner. Service staff friendly and attentive. Food very good. Nice environment.
Ambience is very dated and feels like a hotel lobby. The cheesy music does not help. Food seems pretty dated, like we're still in the 90s. Service was pretty good.
The food is astounding, consistently - a surprising mixture of flavors and textures making each dish fun to explore. The only negative last night was the server was a little indifferent.
We arrived at Equinox and they sat us right away, the food was excellent, the service was great and the chef came out a few times to make sure we were happy (that was a good treat). We were taking our boss out for dinner and everything was perfect,
Equinox has a terrific menu, superb food, and excellent service. The calamari was crisp and tender, the the duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended.
Sunday brunch tasting menu was phenomenal. Great variety of tastes and nice portion sizes. We felt a tad but rushed because the food was coming out so quickly. One item on the tasting menu was not brought out. However, we were so satisfied with all the other options, the extra item was not necessary. Definitely will be one of our top choices in DC.
The food, as always, was excellent and the service was wonderful. The ambiance is lovely, but the vegan brunch is certainly a bit over priced. Pre-covid, when they offered the buffet style brunch and there were so many more options, the $40price tag was more justified, but paying that much money for a preset menu (even if you can order as much as you want) of vegies and vegan proteins is excessive. I would maybe pay $20-$25. If Equinox does not return to the buffet style brunch or lower their price, I do not think I will be returning in the future on Sundays.
Our dinner was excellent! We sat on the outdoor patio, which was very pleasant. My son and I had the PB zuchinni blossom tempura and corn salad dish for appetizers which we both loved. My husband had the bass dinner that he said was quite good. I had the crispy soft shelled crab and spinach tagliotini which also had numerous pieces of oishii shrimp in it. I had never had oishii shrimp and I really liked it. This dish was excellent. And our son had the PB and GF sweet potato and cauliflower curry, which he really enjoyed
All servings were quite generous. We have been here a number of times and I think I enjoyed the food this time the most. The service, also, was spot on!
Great place to celebrate or just have a great meal.
Food arrived barely warm. My octopus was very chevy. It just wasn't very good food. Mediocre at best. None of other guests complimented the food.
Chocolate Bundt cake was dry.
Nobody said happy birthday despite the fact that it was indicated in the reservation, no candle either.
Kitchen relies on adding cream to everything to make it taste better instead of developing other flavors.
Look for another place for your event.
Not worse it.
