I had a reservation for four people on a Wednesday night at 715. I arrived at 710 and told the hostess. I wasn’t seated u til 8:10 after going up to the hostess multiple times and asking when we would be seated she kept saying we’re next we’re next and we were not seating until fifty minutes later and no accommodations were made at all. Very ridiculous be waiting for that long of a time. food was delicious and ambiance was beautiful
Excellent food and service. Convenient to 5th Avenue shopping.
Hi, this was my fist time there and we were 6 ppl and 5 out 6 did not enjoy our dishes. I was expecting the food to be better especially for the cost. Ambiance was good.
My mom & I booked dinner reservations before a show and they were accommodating towards the service and time that we wanted to leave the restaurant. The food is spectacular!
We were seated upstairs. The music was crazy loud and there was nowhere to escape it as there are speakers over every table. The server was overly doting to the point of annoyance. The food was average at best with a high price tag.
We wanted a place to have a nice conversation in a lovely atmosphere before a Broadway Matinee. We were very pleased with our experience. The location is perfect for anyone seeing a show in the W52 area, it’s away from crazy Times Square yet only two blocks away.
That said we much prefer the 14th Street location ambience. Even though this location emphasizes Fifth Avenue, the space is tight. Also, the food is good, and being away from Times Square is worth it to me, but several of the entrees plus the cocktails, were overpriced.
My partner and I went to Fig + Olive for a date night as we were visiting NYC soon after Xmas, and the whole experience was outstanding.
The staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs, even hand crafting specialist non alcoholic cocktails for us. The food was amazing - cooked to perfection and peppered with an array of flavours. Even the bread comes with artesian orange balsamic glaze, which was sensational.
Pricing was reasonable, everything was wonderfully presented, and the decor was wonderfully elegant and truly gave an authentic Mediterranean feel.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND - NEIGHBOURHOOD GEM
Celebrated the birthday of two friends this past Saturday and it really was a great night. The seafood dishes were fantastic (salmon, sea bass), but the 4 friends who shared 2 chateaubriand felt it was nothing special, specifically the mashed potatoes falling very short. Our waiter was nice, and they even sent out two desserts for the birthday guests unexpectedly.
We would definitely come back in the future, but maybe not on a Saturday night when it is so busy.
Very mediocre food. We had some of the crostini’s and they weren’t bad, actually pretty good but
As Fig in West Hollywood the server always makes you feel special, on 5th Avenue we had to wait more than 10 minutes for the server to even show up. They failed to deliver their famous bread with different types of olive oils until our first course was well under way. Additionally, the waiter failed to describe the oils but just left them on the table instead. The food was more or less of the same quality but it just didn't feel as good given the entire non-food experience. Instead of an upscale restaurant I am used to in West Hollywood, this 5th Avenue location felt more like a nicer version of Denny's.
Our dinner was amazing! I loved the ambiance and will definitely be coming back when I’m in town in the Spring.
Great place. The sorbet was heavenly.
Overrated, the place is really nice but the food is only okay as such I didn’t feel the value for our money.
Food is good, service is fast but the noise level is too high. Not ideal for a business lunch.
The fois gras crostini was to die for!!! I had an after Christmas dinner with a good friend and everything was delicious. Drinks for different and delicious, my salmon was excellent, but her risotto was out of this world. I can't wait to go back!
Terrific food and service.
Lunch very popular but food disapointing. Very high noise level when at its fullest. Not conducive to meaningful conversation. Service was professional and the decor was very pleasing. Considering the other options in the area that would provide better food, I would not return.
Food and service was amazing!
6 of us for dinner, food was good nothing that really was outstanding.
Too noisey for my liking and tables too close. Very good service.
Just the most wonderful food and attentive friendly service
Good food and great ambiance. Service nit super attentive. I kerp on coming back but the noise level is terrible. It kind of destroys the conversation
Friend and I enjoyed burgers while walking around nyc. She loved the salmon burger but did not like the texture of the salad. I had the lamb burger- ok but not well seasoned and enjoyed the watercress salad. Both enjoyed the roasted potato “fries “ wished there were more and they needed salt.
Everything was very good except my dish - mushrooms risotto- was too salty.
The food and service was great. Only one thing I would change. We had a 5:30 reservation and when we were shown to our table we had to squeeze in between two other 2 tops which normally is fine. However the other 1/2 of the restaurant was totally open. Fig and Olivia management, maybe try spacing out the seatings a bit across the restaurant? This would make us feel like we had a little time to ourselves before other patrons were seated vs the experience we did have which was sitting next to a guy who was on the phone, loudly, for 5-10 minutes. That’s uncontrollable for sure but if we had been seated elsewhere it would have made for a stellar experience. Thanks for listening.
We were moved tables which is usually fine but our waiters forgot about us and I had to bed for my bill and was late for a meeting. Food came out very late.
Was very excited to come here. Food was good but definitely underwhelming for what I expected and too pricey for what was served. Nice restaurant overall though.
The quality of the food and service has definitely gone down. I've been there 20 times and the change is evident
Excellent overall, wonderful food, but despite excellent quality of service, flagging a waiter was a slight challenge.
Have been to Fig and Olive’s before, but not this one. This experience was underwhelming. The crostini were all stone cold, including the bread, which I don’t recall being the norm from my other visits. Maybe I’m wrong. At any rate they were were slapped together in about two minutes and were so-so. The meals came out feeling like they were assembled rather than cooked or prepared. Had a mass-produced feel that wasn’t in line with the pricing. Service was fine but it just wasn’t an experience that would make me hurry back anytime soon.
This was literally the best meal on our trip! So good!!
All around excellent experience again. I try to make a visit every time that I am in New York.
We did not know that New Years Day menu will be so limited. In the meantime, available choices were just ok'ish - nothing to brag about. I think it was a bit too expensive for what it was. Service was good. I hope they would do better with a regular menu.
It was very especial , I had an apointment with a foring relative
Gran fin de año
Food and services was super
Food is fresh, wholesome, delicous. Restaurant service a bit slow, had to ask for the bread and olive oil 3x until finally I just got up and went to retrieve it myself. And tables super close together, forget having a somewhat private conversation.
Great service, average food not averagely priced. Wouldn’t visit again but the ambiance is nice.
