   I had a reservation for 2 at 1:30 for lunch. They had closed the dinning room and seated us in the "lobby" section tables. I wish they had let me know that ahead of time. Service was outstanding. Food was really good.

   The bartender went above and beyond to make a special cocktail that was not on the menu, and it was quite good! The burger and sweet potato fries were very good. It was an enjoyable experience as my car charged nearby.

   Could have been an off day, but... We were placed at the closest table to the front door on a 5 degree day. Ambience is almost zero. Feels like the dining room at a Holiday Inn. We enjoyed our server. However, the menu was limited and the food was mediocre at best. Asheville brew pubs have better food and much better feel.

   My mother and I came late one evening. It’s in a hotel which we weren’t aware of. It looked very understaffed, However the food was very enjoyable.

    I had no idea that this restaurant was located at the Hilton Hotel. After we left the restaurant, I noticed on Google about 6 listing down that it was in the hotel. The ambiance was very mediocre. The food was awful! I got the trout, and it was sooooo overcooked. The brussel sprouts were so charred from roasting that they seemed like embers from a fire! I would NOT recommend this place to have dinner! BTW, I made a reservation on Open table. It asked if there was a special occasion. It happened to be my husbands birthday, and it was never acknowledged by the wait staff.

    We selected this restaurant based on great reviews. We weren’t disappointed, lunch was very good. It was very quiet as it was after lunchtime on a weekday. We selected the smoked trout spread appetizer - quite a large serving (enough for an entrée for one), so very very good! It came with rosemary crackers, and pickled onions which were the perfect accompaniment. My husband selected the burger with sweet potato fries. It was cooked to his request, tender, juicy, delicious. The sweet potato fries were some of the best we’d ever had. I selected the rocket salad with fried chicken add-on. Salad was wonderful & fresh, just enough dressing, and the fried chicken was excellent - crispy, but tender & moist. Service was good, although he seemed either distracted or new? Very nice in any case, & it didn’t hurt the food! We will definitely return next time we are in that area of Asheville.

    Let me tell you when I booked this resy, I had no idea it was in the Hilton. I was a little reticent at first, but was pleasantly surprised! The service, food, wine, dessert, etc was delicious! I had the trout with summer squash and Brussels sprouts and it was yummy! The arugula salad was amazing as was the chocolate ganache cake! Don’t let this hotel restaurant fool you. It’s a little hidden gem so close to where I live, I’ll definitely be back.

    The host rushed us to make a decision on breakfast or brunch menu. Then our food took a very long time and when it came out it was made incorrectly. So they remade my sandwich but then it was overcooked.

    The food was absolutely amazing ! Highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the caprese sandwich. The pimento cheese with the homemade bbq chips was also fantastic. Service was great. Will definitely visit again.

    Met some girlfriends for lunch. Our waitress was most attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the Caprese Sandwich with Chicken and it was delicious! I chose Sweet Potato fries as my side and they were not so great.

    As noted in other reviews, the menu is limited, BUT the food is very good. Service is excellent and seating is uncrowded and comfortable. We liked it so much we had all three meals there. No complaints!

    Small but varied menu. It was disappointing not to offer trout, which their website routinely lists. However, we enjoyed an excellent trout spread as an appetizer and my partner loved her tenderloin. Vegetables were a perfect accompaniment. Well prepared mixed drinks and service from server to valet was just great. Definitely worth another visit.

    If you’re looking to enjoy Sunday brunch at Fork and Lore, you won’t. Despite what their website promotes, brunch doesn’t exist there. I’m still scratching my head over how an upscale, hotel restaurant such as this doesn’t serve brunch (first world problem, I know). After sitting down and realizing there wasn’t anything on the menu that even closely resembled breakfast/brunch fare, we got up and headed to a local favorite, Biscuithead instead.

    A very pleasant surprise. We went to Fork Lore for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was wonderful and served in family style (serving dishes on the table). Excellent quantity and quality.

    We made reservations at 1:00 on a Thursday. 1. There was no one at the bar area that could even make a mimosa. The bar was all locked up so finally after 10 minutes of waiting on any drink, we made an order for an appetizer. The wait staff seemed very frazzled so we cancelled our order and left. This is such a shame since we are local and would love to have found a great local spot.
