We had tasting menu with wine pairing and every course was outstanding.
The staff were very well informed and pleased to explain the courses and wines
A fantastic experience, the pork was our (surprise) favourite
I had the tasting menu and it was fab! The wine was great as well. Staff fantastic. Only fault - I went as it is build as a sustainable restaurant- no food waste. But then they gave me a plastic straw.
Our second visit as a group of friends, one of whom is vegan and one of whom has a variety of dietary restrictions. The Frog has menu options to accommodate both of these needs, which feel every bit as classy and taste as delicious as the conventional omnivore / vegetarian / full fat, dairy included etc dishes.
We like the attentive but unobtrusive service and the incredibly quiet open kitchen. Great watching the chefs create beautiful dishes and look relaxed as they do it..quite a show!
Great dining experience, the quality of the food was unreal both in taste and presentation (the carrot starter came out on this beautiful wafer and had a surprisingly complex flavour).
Service was attentive and helpful, all dishes were stellar, especially the duck main and milk cake dessert, perhaps most importantly the dishes are extremely well priced - you could easily pay double what you pay at Frog for this quality meal and even then it would be worth it
Had the chefs set menu, which was amazing. Food was very well presented, great varied flavours and lots of different courses to try. Service was very good and there is a great relaxed ambiance with the open kitchen. Highly recommended, will definitely return.
A completely different concept to any Michelin star restaurant that I have been to before. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to others.
Did the tasting menu for my husband's 40th Birthday. Fabulous evening.... everyone did the wine pairing which was great and we were looked after very well. Only one thing was that none of us liked the parsnip desert.... basically just parsnip with a sauce, was my only option as I am gluten free, but otherwise we enjoyed it all.
High end food and really easy friendly service. You must have the bread and chicken butter!! Toilets are a bit of a trek but overall great for a special occasion or romantic dinner.
Easily one of the best places in London for Lunch or Dinner... incredible service and food. Would recommend to anyone.
First time at Frog Hoxton (or any Frog for that matter). Instantly leapt into my top 5 favourite London restaurants. LOVED it. Went a la carte and shared a few nibbles and small plates with my wife and every one of them was delicious, inventive and memorable. Can't wait to go back some day.
The set menu was outstanding. The chefs & waitress explained every plate of food and were very attentive.
This was our 5th time visiting the Frog and it just never disappoints - our favourite spot in London for upscale yet casual dining. Love love love everything about it! The food was stunning, the service was attentive, warm and professional, and the space is very cool yet relaxed. The occasion was my son’s birthday and they made the visit very special indeed. So it’s extremely family friendly too. Visit number 6 is in our very near future!
Amazing food, with friendly happy staff. Great experience
Our dinner in the midweek was better than Friday night. The chicken butter was not as flavoursome than our previous visit but lamb and duck main course was excellent
Fantastic night out at The Frog! Went for a collaborative plant based tasting menu with Alter and had incredible and inventive food with amazing wine and great service. Even the music is ace. As a vegan, I’ve tried lots of the new plant-based menus and this was one of the best!
Fell in love with Adam Handling when watching him nearly have a meltdown in Modena trying to cook emotionally for Massimo wossisname and accidentally winning the round with an angry dark chocolate dessert. LOL. Went to the first Shoreditch one with the shack roof and loved it, did the full tasting menu at the new place and loved it and the guest series is a really cool idea and didn't disappoint at all. The guest chef from Alter vegan stole the show for me- the miang bites were unbelievable- a whole massive Kaffir lime leaf, with a mini platter of Thai goodness on top- sweet, sour, salty, spicy. I literally whipped my napkin in appreciation. No joke. Also the sweetcorn bhel puri, which was my fave dish of the night, was outrageously good. The combo of sweetcorn, peanut and tamarind was like crack. I licked both mine and my partner's plates clean. The drinks were sensational too- really interesting and delicious and well matched. Hats off to everyone involved, especially the somelier and the Alter chef.
I returned to The Frog for my daughter's birthday. Having experienced the tasting menu, I wanted her to love it too. She did!
Thanks you for an excellent gastronomic experience.
Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service. Food was fantastic and we really enjoyed the wine selection! A must go in Shoreditch!!
Atmosphere and food are amazing. Love this place. If you're thinking about booking, don't hesitate. Do it.
Good food and service generally. Our waitress may have been having a bad day as she wasn’t very smiley and looked a bit annoyed. Hopefully we weren’t the reason! Aside from that, really good overall experience.
the food was delicious and the set menu was great. the ambience was okay but we were sat in the middle and it felt a little canteen - the thing that let it down was that the toilets are disgusting, there was sick all over one of the toilets and the other looked like it hadn't been checked all day. also the service was a little rushed and we were pushed. the chefs were fantastic, and the food truly was excellent.
Portions are too small for a la carte. More then 23 pounds for 2 tiny slices of duck is too much money!
The space, service and vibe were great. The potato and black garlic with the lamb was shockingly bland. The duck and lamb were badly butchered, but the marrow mash and beetroot done 3 ways were really lovely. Enjoyed the evening and company, but not sure worth the money though to be honest.
Will definitely book to go here again, never know this gem was in Hoxton! Best meal I've had in a while, the presentation was great and not fussy, just beautiful plating. Staff are super friendly, happy to recommend and suggest drinks parings. Nice and intimate with great viewing of the kitchen in action
Had a great girls lunch where we had the tasting menu. Stand out dishes were the cod snack and the duck. We also had the beer pairing which allowed us to try some interesting and tasty beers that went very nicely with the food. The service was great with each dish and beer explained. I would definitely go again.
Good Food and very good service. A nicer ambiance and less noise would be better
Probably the best meal I have ever had. Innovative food, beautiful looking and utterly delicious! Service was equally as great with great recommendations and incredibly attentive. 100% worth every penny! Can not wait to go back!
Amazing evening celebrating my partners birthday - thank you!
Great food, amazing wine (albeit pricey), excellent service.
Highly advise the tasting menu. Food was incredible, wine was excellent!
Outstanding food. Not cheap but. Or should it be for that quality. Great recommendations on drinks and excellent relaxed service
Incredible food, lovely serving staff who clearly love working there, great ambience if not a little quiet and just a thoroughly brilliant time. We had the London restaurant festival menu which was incredible value for money also.
Incredible dining experience! Impeccable service and the quality of the food is out of this world! Highly recommend
Frog is a complete culinary adventure! If you have a taste for the unusual then please book a table and sample the amazing menu. The quality of food and the presentation is superb. Every dish is exquisite and your taste buds will thank you. We chose from the main menu and the cheese doughnuts were divine and the beef was so tender. From start to finish it was truly a memorable lunch. It was Tuesday so the restaurant wasn’t busy but we could see the chefs preparing our dishes and we received excellent service and advice from Carolina. Was that Adam we spotted in the kitchen?
I want to visit Frog in Covent Garden next.
I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough... treat yourself, you won’t regret it.
Fantastic vegan tasting menu, very creative and exceptional value at £50. Went to The Frog on the recommendation of friends and would definitely recommend to others.
Service was incredible. Food was amazing. If you’re undecided about whether to go - just go! You won’t regret it.
The Cornish crab tart was out of this world and the courgette flowers the best I have eaten. Actually everything was excellent. Leave some space for some very imaginative desserts.
Second time round for us at this 'Frog'. We've been to them all and love them all. Great food, great staff, proper attention paid to food allergies. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!
No birthday additional service. Compared with Frog by Adam in Covent garden, it’s not deserved with the price.
Great food and fantastic service. Thank you!
