Gabriel's Bar and Restaurant has been a NYC staple for nearly four decades. Gabriel's brings the quintessential flavors of Italy right to the heart of Manhattan. Established in 1991 by Gabriel Aiello, his restaurant is known for providing excellent service and great food throughout the years and being home of many notable personalities. With rare dedication towards his craft, Gabriel will still find time to greet you at the front of the house and make your experience memorable. Now at our new home at 40 Central Park South, directly across from Central Park, we are proud to continue the same tradition, with the same sensibility and care. We offer bar and outdoor seating, a cozy yet elegant dining room with a luxurious and intimate feel, and a private dining room for special occasions.

No Show/Cancellation Policy: A fee of $25/person will be charged for no shows and cancellations made less than 6 hours before the reservation.

Across from Central Park, perfect place to dine and people watch. Service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Let them pick the wine. Perfect pairing. Food outstanding. Roasted pear salad best my wife has had. Magical real risotto. Everything fresh made in house. Great start to short trip.

Best Italian good we’ve had in NYC in a long time and there are a lot of great Italian restaurants. Also, got to dine with Tom Hanks, Leslie stahl, and Dianne Sawyer #namedrop.

The food is better than most restaurants that propose themselves as “Italian”… they have a thoughtful staff and while it may be a bit pricey, it is more more or less what one would expect from a good restaurant in Manhattan. The real test is whether we would go back there again. And we most definitely would…
