   Most of us enjoyed our starters - particularly the Calamari which was excellent but those of us who had the Rissotto with SeaBass were disappointed as there was far too much liquid ( oil ? ) underneath the rice. The oil ruined the dish & made it slimy. Desserts were good & in particular the cannoli.

   My husband and I had starters and mains, each course only one dish was brought out and both times one of us had to wait for a few minutes until the other dish was brought out. We weren’t impressed with the overall experience and won’t return.

   Generally a pleasant place after we asked for the music to be turned down, although it was a bit too dark. The menu was fairly limited with a large number of seafood items, which I didn't want.

    Great afternoon to celebrate my teenage son's baptism with a small and intimate party. The service was brilliant Some of the dishes were a bit under warm but this is the only negative. I wouldn’t hesitate to book a party here again. Lovely restaurant and fantastic kind service. Thank you.

    Disappointed! Our previous visit was excellent but this time was really disappointing. Our Main course was very dry and tasteless and the service seemed rushed…..to the point of taking plates before one of our party had finished. The noise and foul language from a private party upstairs was also really off putting.

    We booked Gigis for a special celebration as I have visited many times in the past. Unfortunately the food was very poor, not as expected. The majority of staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly, with the exception of a female kitchen staff member and male barmen all others were a little standoffish and did not come across as friendly. We left a large proportion of our food, including overcooked sea bass and pasta, reheated but still cold new potatoes and greasy zucchini. Inspire of this the waitress did not blink and eye, when we think she should have pushed as to why. We left very quickly not wanting to ruin and further our special day and celebration.

    I thought it was really cosy and ambient, I really liked the vibe but I was quite disappointed in the food. It might have just been a coincidence but for such a simple starter and main, they both really lacked a simple execution of seasoning and was really quite bland. It’s a shame as I definitely want to come again and give it another chance. I will say they were very accommodating in regards to the gluten free food and I think they should advertise that a bit more to attract more customers. Will definitely come again but hoping to order something different next time! Primitivo wine was exquisite!

    The calamari while nicely cooked was a bit bland but the king prawns were lovely. My husband had the sirloin and said he was pleased with his choice although he did feel it a bit over priced for the size of the cut. That said would we come again, yes. The staff were very welcoming and the restaurant itself very pleasing on the eye.

    Lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food. The only disappointment was that the menu online was out of date. We chose the restaurant based on the online menu as there were some good vegetarian options, but on the night those had been replaced by a new menu. So the vegetarian options were quite limited in the end.

    Staff didn’t seem to know what to do; appetisers & starters came together; key components missing from dishes without explanation . . . Very disappointing for £70 per head.

We are unfortunately not aware of any components missing from dishes from the check backs on each course. It is also dispiriting that you did not feel the bill represented good value for money but we do feel that £68.15 per person is priced fairly for 2 Appetisers, 4 Starters, 4 Main Courses, 1 Side, 3 Desserts, 4 Pints, 2 Negroni, 2 Glasses of Prosecco, 3 Bottles of Chianti, 1 Coffee and 1 Liqueur.

    After passing Gigi’s on my way to work nearly 4 years ago, I have always wanted to try it. My girlfriend and I finally agreed to yesterday and felt slightly underwhelmed. I can’t fault the service, our waiter was very good, however we were ultimately let down by the food. Despite my starter being excellent a well deserved 9/10, the bread that came with one of the starters was stale and the bruschetta came un-toasted and a little soggy. The Pizza was slightly undercooked, which I can understand as these things happen, however the pancetta on the pizza was undercooked and chewy and made for a poor topping on the pizza. We would probably come back to try some of the more authentic Italian pastas, however we would stay away from the pizzas.

    Food excellent - website menu prices are lower than the restaurant menu. This is misleading and possibly illegal. Email inbox is full and my email was rejected, so can't contact management that way. Owner/manager needs to sort out its website and email.

    We have been before a couple of years ago and were expecting the same delicious food. After visiting the first time we came away with the impression that this this was a quality place to go to for a special occasion. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed this time. The food was just ok. The focaccia was much too herby and salty. The chicken I had was tasty but just came with mashed potato which again was too salty. The portions were good sizes though. My daughter had a virgin cocktail but sent it back as she said it tasted like she was sucking on a lemon. It was happily remade but it was still the same. The waiter spilled ice down my husband’ s back (was an accident).

    We visited with a gift voucher. The menu when dining with a voucher was very limited with two out of four choices being Chicken ! ( not including Pizza) very disappointed. The food was good, although my starter was better than my main. The tiramisu for dessert was amazing and totally made my day. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so no ambiance. The waitress was friendly and attentive … no excuse not to be, with only us there. I’m sure if we were eating off the main menu my review would have been very different, but we won’t be rushing back any time soon I’m afraid.
