    This was our first time at Gravy since moving here recently, and we brought some out-of-town guests with us for lunch. Between the four of us, we ordered Bruschetta, Eggplant Pie, Tagliatelle Bolognese, and Artichoke Ravioli. Everything came in in great time and was done perfectly with proper temperatures. Delicious flavors. A regional manager had come in to help when someone couldn’t show up and stopped to have a great conversation without ever being rushed. We will definitely be back!

    The garlic knots were almost white, not golden, the tomato sauce had way too much oregano and herbs. The chicken was bland. Overall the food was a big disappointment. Was there many years ago and had a much better experience.

    This was the second time we visited this restaurant. We really enjoyed our first visit and the food was quite good . This time …. Well everything was terrible , the service was awful , slow , the waitress was rude and seems like she did not care much about her customers . The food … well it was really bad , let’s start with the appetizers : the calamari was extremely salty , and the wedge salad sauce tasted like Mayo …. And they did not bother to put enough balsamic … about the entrees : the carbonara pasta had lots and lots of cream and was tasteless, the risotto and scallops was full of butter and the risotto was overcooked, the tagliatelle was also tasteless and the sauce of the shrimp Fra Diavolo tested like ketchup, I am serious… do not bother to go to their restaurant, there are many many many great options in the area where you can really enjoy delicious food .

    Ambiance music choice could be better. The place is a bit downtrodden. Service of the waiter was good; the greeter however was a bit rude. Food was good. Homeless sometimes come in and bother the customers. Security is needed to deal with this swiftly. Yesterday a homeless guy came inn and spent half an hour bothering all customers present. The staff don’t seem to be trained for this situation.

    Our server, Molly, was wonderful. The food was good, but not true to what it's said it is on the menu. I ordered chicken picatta. What I received was not picatta. It was chicken with artichokes and was swimming in a wine sauce. While tasty, it wasn't picatta. Same with my husband's meal. He ordered carbonara. It wasn't carbonara. Again, while tasty, it was not carbonara. Same with the cannoli. Not a true ricotta based cannoli.

    Found this lovely restaurant on Open Table when dropping off my son at NCSU. Great service by our waiter Fabrizio, nice atmosphere in the back open patio and the food was fabulous! Homemade tagliatelle pasta and bolognese "gravy" was tasty and all our dishes were amazing! Will be back again next time we visit from 'Jersey! Thanks!

    The garlic knots were not warm enough to enjoy the garlic and dough. The alcoholic beverages were way over priced. The Rice balls were lacking in cheese, flavor and were not jested to my liking. Two of the three Chicken Parmesan Entrees made my family members nauseas. My shrimp Entree was way too spicy, the shrimp was over cooked, carrots were raw, and the pasta was undercooked. The only item that was worth eating was the salad my husband ordered. Our waiter was very nice, as were his assistants who brought us our meals. I would suggest you have salt and pepper shakers in the table, and include spoons with your utensils. I asked for a specific area to sit so you could accommodate my father’s walker. Apparently that message did not make it to your hostess and could’ve been a problem due to the small size of the place. I will say the Birthday cheesecake was real nice and brought to my son in a timely fashion, however we needed a steak knife to cut through the thickness of the hardened chocolate on top. Unfortunately, we will not be back and wish you the best of luck! Please take my critiques into consideration, had it not been a special occasion, I would’ve returned the rice balls, and my shrimp entree. Theresa Alden

    Entrees were less than expected. Risotto was undercooked and scallops over seasoned. Carbonara was under seasoned, pasta was undercooked and in clumps. Desserts were good, especially the strawberry-lemonade budino.

    This was our first time at Gravy and can't wait to go back. Fantastic service and even better food. Not your typical lasagna and spaghetti (which they have but with a twist) but also dishes with so many different flavors. Just fantastic!!!

    Had a reservation and were seated immediately. Drinks came promptly. Our server warned us the kitchen was a little backed up, so there was a bit of a delay for our calamari. The fresh rolls sprinkled with Parmesan that we got during the wait more than made up for it; they were soft, warm, and delicious. The calamari was also very good. Entrees came out just as we finished our calamari. We had a variety of dishes; all were excellent. This is a solid spot for good Italian food.

    Our experience having our anniversary dinner at Gravy was remarkable. The server, Nevena, was very knowledgeable and helpful in our choice of entree, and a pleasure to have her as our server. Portions were plenty and the garlic knots were delicious. We will definitely return and also recommend it to others.

    The food presented nicely and had not real taste. Everything needed salt and herbs. The pasta sauce much too heavy. It could have been an off night. Quite a few people said it was good and they know good food. Staff friendly and you could tell the chef was working hard.

    Creative menu. Scallop risotto was cooked perfectly. The tagliatelle was good too, fresh noodles. Would prefer a non-cream based tomato sauce. The dairy-free will have issues with the pasta menu. The arancini was the best thing on the menu! The sauce was fresh with hints of oregano. My husband said he’d buy the sauce if it came in a jar; it does! Service was top notch. Even though the server was managing a lot of tables, we were not forgotten. A little tap on the table and “I’ll be right there,” made us feel welcome. The owner was friendly too and explained the amazing sauce was his grandmother’s recipe. Worth a stop!
