18th birthday meal for 8. What a fabulous experience. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating. Balloons on the table, a birthday card and a drink on the house for the birthday twins. Those personal touches were very much appreciated. The service was personal, not rushed, attentive and sociable. The food was great. Two courses for £20. Choices from the entire menu which was varied so, everyone struggled to choose. The pub itself is a piece of history and makes for a lovely, homely evening. Great choice of beers. So lucky this place is local to us so we’ll be back very soon.

Excellent service and food. The only negatives; the dining room is up fairly steep stairs. Temperature was a little on the cold side, this could be due to no other diners when we arrived.

Amazing food, good size portions. Happy smiling staff. One person was coeliac and their menu choices were excellent. Amazing very old pub with great atmosphere. Toilets very clean.
