    People that came in after us got their food before us so wait times were slow. Some food was barely warm by the time it did get to us.

    We ate at Grindstone on the Monon twice last week - lunch on Wednesday and dinner on Friday. We had lunch on the patio, and the food was delicious. I had a Cobb Salad that was excellent. My wife had filet sliders and a cup of soup which she enjoyed very much. We returned on Friday for dinner (I had managed to leave my credit card there on Wednesday so we went back to retrieve the card and have dinner.) I had fish and chips. The fish portion was quite large, very crispy, and delicious. The fries and cole slaw were excellent. My wife had a repeat of the filet sliders, accompanied by fresh fruit this time. We had a reservation for a bar table, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was very busy, but our server managed to stay on top of everything and did an excellent job. This is one of our favorite restaurants.

    We love coming here because the food and service is always outstanding. I usually opt for salads and vegetables— everything is always fresh and tasty. My husband is a huge fan of the fish and chips and he’s never disappointed. Caitlyn was our server— she was on point from start to finish. We will return!!

    Sat on the patio with our dog. Waiter, Gabriel, was very polite and attentive. Food was served quickly and was very good. Wife especially liked her French fries, and she can be very picky. Thanks for a great meal.

    The cocktails were terrific, but my entree was very salty. I wanted the seared cod, but it was not available and our waitress did not know how the substitute dish (tuna) was prepared. I should have insisted she find out because I ordered it upon her recommendation, but I did not like the sauce and it was overcooked. We had a generally good experience, but given the price, I was not particularly impressed and I would probably not return.

    My wife and I tried this restaurant after a friend recommended the burgers. We found the burgers to be first rate, and will try this place again. Fortunately we made an online reservation for 7 PM on a Saturday. The parking lot and restaurant were packed. Despite the crowd, we were seated immediately.

    Two couples and we liked everything we had! Tenderloin was great, as always! Salmon salad was excellent with yummy goat cheese, lots of candied pecans, nice piece of salmon, substituted raspberry vinaigrette for the balsamic and it was a nice, thicker texture and delicious! The jambalaya pasta looked amazing and our friend who ordered it said it was. LOTS of protein and a good kick. Chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich was also very tasty. Sat on the patio near the street and it was a bit loud but the other covered seating was busy and the breeze where we sat was very nice!

    Super busy night and it was very loud. Great service which is tough with a lot of tables. Food was mediocre at best. Chicken and noodles was more like a soup than entree. Double cheeseburger slider had a cold bun and the burger was not warm either. Not our vibe, but clearly a go to for many people.

    Our server had several large tables who demanded a lot of her time but we went with empty glasses multiple times. Had to ask for more water, another drink, and the check. The volume in the restaurant was the loudest I have ever seen here. People were yelling - like standing up at their table yelling across the table to people in their party- this went on for over a hour. I am all for people having a good Friday night, and have even been too loud myself but this was another level. We were having to talk so loud to hear each other we just gave up and tried to enjoy our food. As we left we purposely walked by the area where all the noise was coming from. It was obvious this table was annoying others as well because multiple people made comments that the table might have been over-served. The worst thing was the food. We tried some of the Devour Indy menu. The appetizer was the best thing. The mains were okay but the cheesecake was the worst I have ever eaten. It didn’t even taste like cheesecake. My husband and I both took bites at the same time and both had the same reaction. It was warm, texture was lumpy, but most disappointing was the taste. We paid and left.

    Great place with a nice atmosphere... Food portions were on the larger side and great tasting. Value is Good to Very Good but it can get pricey very quick with the cocktails... The cocktails are a fair size but moderately to high priced...

    I was warmly greeted by the hostess when I arrived at the restaurant. She immediately led me to the table to the person I was meeting for lunch. The server promptly took my drink order. After delivering my drink, my friend and myself both ordered the salmon salad. Our salads arrived in a timely manner. The server asked if there was anything else she could bring us. While we were eating our server checked on us a couple times. Our salads were excellent. The salmon was prepared perfectly. The salad has zucchini bread as an accompaniment. The zucchini bread was moist and delicious. I highly recommend Grindstone on the Monon for a wonderful lunch!

    Had an early dinner on a Friday. Spouse raved about the lemongrass chicken. Fish and chips were good but the breading was soggy, taking away from the dish. Service and ambience were good. Will definitely come back.

    Although our server was very friendly and pleasant, I did feel that she was not as attentive as I may have wished. We requested Patio seating and were the first seated out there. Our waitress brought our drinks, but then kept walking past us (to go in and out of the restaurant) without checking to see if we were ready to order our dinner. We weren't in a rush and could have stopped her if we were, but it just seemed like she waited longer than usual to check in. On a personal note (and not in any way reflecting on our server), we were seated right next to the entrance to the patio and the barrier was up across the broad part of the patio-while open at the end we were on- creating quite a wind tunnel right past us. Lets just say that our food cooled incredibly quickly. Again, we did not ask to be moved, but we did comment that it was very windy in that spot.

    Awesome lunch on a Friday afternoon! As usual my husband had his favorite meal— fish and chips— and I had the nachos— both were delicious! Excellent service as usual by Anna. Everything was terrific and we will return!

    Literally, the best chicken and noodles we ever had. The steak tacos were amaaaaazing! Savannah, our waitress, was very personable, not pushy, and provided great insights to different dishes that we were considering.

    Both my wife and I had the Indiana Pork Tenderloin sandwich. As always it was delicious! We always love the outdoor patio at Grindstone Public House. Great option for a quiet dinner or special occasion.

    Very unusual... no one came to the table for quite awhile. Finally went to find a manager, who realized that no one had come over. Wait staff said that they had sent people home and weren't supposed to be seating in that section. Once service was there, things progressed smoothly. Food was great as usual: mushroom swiss burgers are delish! One of the best things on the menu! The fries are excellent as well.
