The beloved Summer in the City series returns for another unforgettable season at the Boston Harbor Hotel, bringing live waterfront entertainment to the heart of Boston. From June 6th through August 28th, guests can enjoy al fresco evenings every Tuesday through Friday, set against the sparkling backdrop of the Boston Harbor.

Each night, a rotating lineup of talented performers takes the stage on our iconic floating barge, delivering a vibrant mix of Jazz, Soul, Country, R&B, DJ sets, and more. Whether you're planning a romantic evening or gathering with friends, Friday nights offer the perfect summer celebration.

This year, we’re enhancing the experience with beautifully curated personal boxes, offering chilled, chef-crafted selections that make dining effortless—so you can sit back, relax, and take in the show. Plus, the Harborwalk Terrace returns Saturdays from 1PM to 7PM, serving creative cocktails and a wide-ranging wine list from one of the most scenic spots in the city.

Always fun to sit with a waterside/live band view and enjoy talented bands outside in Boston by the water! The appetizers were great and loved the creative mocktails! Love coming each year!

If you go for Summer in the City don't order from the waitstaff directly. Use the QR code on the table. It took 40min & multiple requests to check on our order to get a round of drinks and an order of chips & salsa. Likewise getting the bill. Friends who came late & used the QR code got served in 10min or less.

The view was amazing which is why I chose to come here to listen to the live music but the menu choices were just sad. The hummus was just ok but the vegetables with it didn’t taste fresh and the portion was small for the price. A lot of wine options but not a lot of beer options for my husband. It took the waiter 15 minutes to come back with our check after we asked. Very disappointed and probably won’t return unless changes are made.

I was seated about 6:10pm. My friend could not figure out how to order the drinks using the QR code. At about 6:20 a server came by and took or order. The drinks did not come for another hour!! My other friend tried to order a drink at the bar but they said you have to use the QR code! This is awful service, they need more staff and have to have the ability to handle the crowds during Summer in the City.

Did not enjoy the experience as I have in the past. Overpriced cocktails that took an hour to arrive. Boxed charcuterie that wasn't fresh, bread was moldy. The music was great and the atmosphere is wonderful, however, I wish they had more options for food and offered a regular, limited menu as they did years ago.

Concert was nice, it is no food in this place, there is a very small options of finger food, if you want dinner better option is the restaurant . There is not a good explanation about this terrace maybe for locals it’s obvious but for tourist it’s not.

$23 for a cocktail! Wow. Drinks are too expensive. The venue itself is great on beautiful summer night. I like the ability to order by phone so not having to track down a waiter.
