Hendricks Restaurant will be under renovations from Jan 24th/23 to February 23rd/23. During this time Hendricks Restaurant has been temporarily relocated to the Symphony room which is also located on the lobby level of the Hilton Vancouver Downtown.

Part restaurant, part cocktail bar, and part live show lounge overlooking the hustle and bustle of Library Square, Hendricks invites you to experience a contemporary twist on the classics.

Service was fantastic. The turkey club was really good. I especially loved the spicy bacon. The deep fried Brie with the jam was really good as per my daughter. Chocolate lava cake was delish, the cheesecake was a little on the dry side. Recommend the lava cake.

I don't like to say anything negative, but the food was really not good. The arancini balls were very dry and not much flavour. The double friend brie was really disappointing. I think it was just a deep fried mozzarella stick from a box. The hummus was light green?! And the zucchini cannelloni was salty. Everything had a similar flavor, especially with the pomodoro sauce on numerous dishes. The atmosphere was very much of an airport lounge late at night. The host and server were really nice, and I can see that maybe this is a good place for a bite for hotel guests for convenience. After reading all the reviews, we were excited but maybe it was an off day with the food.

We were a party of three that came as part of DineOut Vancouver. Between us, we tried the entire DineOut Menu. Both appetizers were beautifully presented and tasty. All three mains were cooked perfectly, looked pretty on the plate and were delicious - portions were generous. Both dessert options were pretty, but maybe a touch too sweet. I did not know this restaurant existed! Glad to have discovered it due to DineOut, very nice ambiance and perfect if you’re going to the Queen E Theatre for a show as it is steps away. Service was good throughout the meal, however, we needed to ask for the bill 5 times. And then when we were 8minutes into missing Fiddler on the Roof - we got up to leave. Server magically materialized and we were able to pay the bill. However, due to the delay…were 15minutes late for our show. Very disappointed. We chose this restaurant specifically for the proximity to the Queen E Theatre, and timed our dinner perfectly. 6:15pm reservation and an 8pm showtime. Missing the beginning of a show that we have been looking forward to for weeks soured our experience.

Wife and I made a reservation but were running early so decided to go and see if they could take us sooner. Dinner time had not actually started yet but they gladly took us and allowed us to order. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. We will be back next time we are in Vancouver.

This quiet little restaurant was so good and drinks were delicious... Lacked service because they only had one person serving. But he was amazing otherwise and super apologetic... Didn't bother us at all because we weren't in a rush. Second time I've been and not disappointed.

We enjoyed the food but the noise level was extremely distracting. In addition to one child running around and being chased by 2 adult males, another child kept throwing silverware on the floor. I also think that the noise level is caused in part to the restaurant being open to the stairs and the doors at the downstairs concierge's desk being open. When spending $30 on each entrée we expected a much better ambience.

We decided to have dinner here before seeing Hamilton at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. It was nice and close and the food was so delicious! Our teenage daughters loved the steak, and couldn't stop talking about it.

There were problems in the kitchen apparently but the food was below what we expected and the service was appalling. Serving staff seemed disorganized. Requests for more water went unnoticed three times, orders did not arrive at the same time (one guest was finishing when other guest got their meal delivered). We were at table 10 and our waiter seemed to be incompetent- ignored us for most of the time we were there. We have eaten there several times and always loved it but we were disappointed. This is the first time we have eaten out since COVID and were looking forward to it. We will not be returning anytime soon.

We made a reservation for 6:15pm as we wanted to try out this restaurant. Our table was not ready and it was pretty much a gong show from there. It took quite a while of our server to come by. We ordered drinks and he got mine wrong twice and then came back and told me they were out of what I ordered. One of the drinks came half full as we are sure it got sloshed around on the trip from the bar to our table. No water refills for the first hour. The food, after an 1:15 minute wait was good... nothing special. I know they were short staffed and they did give us 30% off our bill which was awesome. But... I think that's a one and only for Hendricks.

Both my wife and I had the tenderloin steak. It was cooked to perfection. Veggies were not overcooked and the sauces were exquisite. Cheesecake was also good. Waiter was very attentive.

Was expecting a whole lot more. Fries look like they were cooked the morning of the day before, Cesar tasted like fish which was a first. A full Caesar salad split in half was about a quarter cup per person of just lettuce for $15. It didn’t help that the Caesar salad also tasted like fish. Overall not a place I would consider going to again.

The staff here are lovely, the barman was very knowledgeable about the wine list and gave some great suggestions. The food was delicious and they gave very quick service as we only had a short time before going to the ballet. Hendricks is a great pre-theatre dinner option for QE Theatre.
