Very interesting, they are caterers that do popup nights with limited but intriguing menu. Some items sounded better than they tasted. Some was over cooked. The brussel sprouts and the shrimp in the shrimp and grits. But the Angel biscuit lived up to it's reputation. Took two home and the were great with the next two home cooked dinners. Very noisy in the maim dining area but the will seat you out in another area if you ask. They only have beer and wine. Go to their website to find dates they are going to be open. Dates are random between wedding catering obligations. I encourage everyone to give them a try. The owner/chef was engaging, fun, interesting and interested.

How did this quirky gem evade my notice for five years?! I guess because they're only open Friday and Saturday. This may be the best restaurant in Pasadena. Inventive creole-inspired food. Everyone raved. Only thing I would change is to have it a little quieter. But our four-top could still converse well.

Love our visit! Such creative, delicious options - we had one+ of everything on the small plates side and easily fed 4 of us with leftovers. A table-side visit from the owner/chef was a treat! Must get the daily biscuit. For now only open 2 day a week - so plan ahead.

Our group took up a few tables, and the wait staff was excellent at keeping track of our individual orders. The food was surprising: so many Southern dishes, done exceedingly well. The basic shrimp and grits, for example, was so tasty. The chef-owner came to our table and explained the meaning of the name of the restaurant's name (no, it's not a riff on the Alan Parson's Project, but it is related to a song). He is gregarious and very concerned about the quality of the food and the freshness and seasonality. Almost all of the vegetables come from the Santa Monica organic farmers' market.

Excellent food and knowledgeable servers. Service a little slow but not bad. Music was too loud - probably because we were seated at a corner table. With a speaker just behind us! We would definitely go again!

New Years was a reasonable price fix meal 85 dollars plus optional wine or drinks. The price was a good value We had a great appetizer and salad but I found the short ribs a bit dry. The bread pudding was great but I tried the fruit and sorbet which we found very tarts service was good and the fact they had a parking lot was help full due to concerns about parking near the Rose Parade. Trying to get out of the area was a challenge due to road closures My last review was a five start but the meal just was not as good as our previous experiences. This may be due to the menu and limited items. I will be back but prefer to order my own selections This was a great spot to spend a quiet New Years and we were able to talk with our friends.
