🍁🧡Fall flavors are my favorite flavors 🧡🍁 @houlihans has a seasonal menu is a nice blend of traditional fall flavors, cozy eats, and a few twists to spice it up! Our #houfaves of the dinner were probably the prime rib egg rolls and the midnight harvest cocktail! I also liked the savory ice cream sandwich — SO unique! Toasted brioche, strawberry ice cream, with ginger and blueberry. Kind of odd, but it really worked for me 🍓 Quick Menu Highlight 🧡prime rib eggrolls — cheesy, creamy, cozy. A must order. Both the creamy horseradish and beer cheese were great for dipping 💛lobster mac — loaded with seafood, including scallops and shrimps. Very cheesy, comforting ❤️crispy chicken Thai noodle bowl — a little sweet, a little heat. The chicken is CRISP (so crunchy 🤌🏻) The drink menu consists of ☕️ Chai This — blood orange and lemon, balanced with chai 🍎 Midnight Harvest — caramel, apple, cranberry and essentially my kind of drink! 🌶️ Fire at the Disco — spicy marg with a tropical passion fruit twist Maybe your next date night? ✨it’s time for a little new at the Hou✨ @houlihans recently launched some new menu items and seasonal features — with fun, new drinks, apps, and entrees there’s new #HouFaves to be found! New menu items we tried: 🍤 crab and shrimp dip 🥗 green goddess salmon salad 🥪 crab melt 🍹talk French to me (French 75) The crab and shrimp dip was an easy favorite for us — creamy, herby dip on toasted bread 🤩 would absolutely order again! Give the new #houlihans menu a try to find your #houfave #newmenu #bestbiteskc #leawoodks #explorekc #crabdip #french75 #greengoddess

This location has been a long time favorite of ours. However, the restaurant is permanently closing after tonight so they brought in live music. The food was excellent, the service was awesome, but the volume of the music was excruciatingly loud. My ears were ringing when I got home. Could have been such a nice last visit to our favorite restaurant if they had just had music that wasn't so painfully loud to listen to.

Server didn't care, when we ask about length of time it took for food to come, which was over 35min! Manager didn't care either, and make excuses about restaurant being busy. I told him, they were not busy when we arrived! There were surrounding tables that arrived well after we had ordered, receiving their food, prior to ours arrivings! Glad they are closing in 3 days! After this experience I would never return anyway!

We're very sorry your visit was so frustrating. Waiting more than 35 minutes and feeling dismissed by both the server and manager is not the experience we want for anyone. We understand how upsetting it is when nearby tables were served before you. Thank you for sharing this candid feedback. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations and hope you will give us a chance at one of our other locations to show you what we are all about. Evan Deegan, Regional Director

On St Pat’s Day it was very busy! My fish and chips breading was not completely cooked and my fish wasn’t completely cooked! I have had the fish and chips many times and it was perfect! I think the kitchen was overly busy to cook my fish sufficiently! Otherwise Houlihan’s is still my favorite restaurant! I love it there, service is great and the food is usually perfect!

We're sorry your fish and chips were undercooked during such a busy St. Patrick's Day. We appreciate you telling us, especially after so many perfect visits. We are glad the service and most dishes have been great for you. Thank you for being a loyal guest, and we hope your next visit is the usual experience you love. Evan Deegan, Regional Director

This is a very well-managed establishment. HOWEVER- the bar staff needs to learn how to prepare a proper Manhattan, including the proper kind of glass it should be poured in. Our drinks, overall, tasted watered-down. Food was excellent. Drinks were not satisfactory.

Thank you for noting that the restaurant is well-managed and that the food was excellent. We are sorry the Manhattan and other drinks missed the mark — being served in the wrong glass and tasting watered-down is not acceptable. We appreciate your honest feedback about the bar, and we hope you will visit again. Thanks, Evan Deegan, Regional Director

We were sad to hear that this location will be closing at the end of March 2026. It has been a neighborhood staple for many years and will be missed. The food is always good and it is a quiet atmosphere wheee friends can get together and actually have conversations. Always sad to see a business close up
