   We went here to celebrate my other half's birthday. From the moment we walked in the service was fantastic. Really nice little touches as we were celebrating. The food was excellent, and the ambience generally was great. We will definitely be back. The only issue for me is that the menu is slightly restricted, if you are not a seafood fan, which I am not. I had the cauliflower steak which was delicious but to go regularly there is not a huge variety for the non-fishy among us. All in all though just a lovely lovely experience.

   Overall good. Negatives - No oysters, which was disappointing, and my halibut was over cooked. Positives - gorgeous oyster gin martinis, great lamb croquette special and lovely service. Will definitely be back.

   We enjoyed oysters, mussels and crab ravioli, washed down with champagne and a pleasant picpoul. Service was brisk, and the place lively on New Year's Eve.

    Wasnt informed that the menu changes every 6 months so food was disappointing. Was also told that the meat was beef when it was in fact deer meat. Deeply upsetting.

    Our waiter was jolly and trying his best. Food took a very long time to come and we sent back the vegetarian main, it looked beautiful but tasted bland unfortunately. We waited a very long time again for dessert. Seemed plenty waiting staff but obviously some issues in the kitchen sadly. Blythswood hotel is beautiful and very festive.

    Fab service, delicious food and lovely ambiance. Extremely helpful with my grandma who’s 94 and has a wheelchair. As it had been her birthday they gave her a plate saying Happy Birthday’ with 2 pieces of fudge on there. These little touches make a big difference 😊

    Overall a good experience although staff shortages impacted on our meal in that we had extraordinary long waits between courses and sat with dirty plates for 30 minutes at the end. Staff were courteous and apologetic however we felt it did let our evening down. Food was good and staff very nice, shame about the ratio of staff to customers

    Superb meal, lovely atmosphere with chilled background tunes, great menu choices and wine list. Service by all of the bar and restaurant staff was outstanding and particularly Jess who served us so well throughout or meal. Will definitely be back.

    Lovely meal In beautiful surroundings. Food was presented well and tasted superb. We were there for Sunday brunch. Staff were attentive without being annoying. Lovely jazz/soul playing in background. Would definitely return. Nice relaxed Sunday afternoon.

    The service isn't great. I told the restaurant of my onion allergy when I made the booking , then had to mention it again to the first waiter, then the next waiter as well. To be fair they went away and came with a list of what meals I could have. Except that was only a couple of dishes and a suggestion of removing one items, rather than a substitution, (In total contrast to a restaurant I went the next night where I could have anything on the menu and the chefs would make the necessary tweaks and substitutions) . Despite vary few tables being occupied and a large number of waiting staff it was still a considerable amount of time into our main meal (it was more than half eaten) when a side dish was delivered. And then there was the issue with bread. We asked for bread and instead we got some toast. Instead of talking to us they made an assumption we wanted gluten free bread and it needed to be heated up. Whereas we were just wanted the round of bread that most restaurants at the level they aspire to, usually supply. Will not be back.

    We had booked brunch for my partner's birthday. On arrival, the staff member that greeted us had checked this in the booking, wished us Happy Birthday, and sat us at a beautiful corner table where there was a birthday message and complimentary glasses of Champagne. It was a classy and very much appreciated touch. After that, the service from all the other staff we dealt with was warm, friendly and efficient. The food was exceptional (my minute steak was better than the majority of regular cuts I've had in other steak and grill houses), and the atmosphere was lovely. It's not cheap to dine there, but I'd say you certainly get what you pay for as, for us, the whole experience was pretty faultless. As soon as I have an occasion to go back, I will. All staff within the restaurant should be proud of their work.

    The food was excellent and I would go back again just for that (in summer). The service was good but not excellent. I object to 12.5 % service charge added automatically. We were sat in one of the booths that was right next to a air conditioning vent, on a cold wet Glasgow winters evening. All our table of three were cold. We asked for it to be turned off and were told it would be. It never was turned down or off.

    Great food but food of that quality deserves table linen and not the sort of tables and chairs that you’d expect to find in a cafeteria. Bring back table clothes and help the ambience live up to the quality of food and service! Good quality of wine on the wine list.

    Food was enjoyable enough but arrived at the table lukewarm. Service attentive but over ingratiating. Surroundings pleasant, good choice on menu, 10% tipping added to bill without consent. Overall, had better elsewhere.

    Happy with overall experience. First time being there. Portions are modest, but good quality. No draught beer so bottles only. Would have preferred a draught lager. £4.50 for a bottle of still water, £6.00 for bread n butter. Hmmmm In a word, expensive.

    This was a treat for my birthday - not only was the food incredible (I especially recommend the Hake Kiev, which was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted, and it went beautifully with the bacon jam), but they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne each, too. It really was a lovely surprise, and made the night feel even more special. The service was friendly and helpful, and the surroundings beautiful. I had a wonderful birthday.

    I loved that the restaurant had gluten free bread and that all of the desserts were able to be made gluten free! The bread was definitely one of the best I've had and the Panna Cotta (dessert) was delicious. I also tried the Espresso Martini (October special) with orange flavoring and it was equally delicious. The decor and lighting was also lovely (which is admittedly how I choose restaurants). Our server was fantastic as was the (bar server/manager?) who recommended cocktails. Overall the atmosphere was really enjoyable and we'll be back again the next time we're in town.

    Our first visit to Glasgow, we stayed at the hotel and enjoyed 2 dinners at the restaurant. The menu emphasizes Scottish sourced products and local seafood. The food was delicious, the room is stylish but not pretentious, and the host and serving staff were perfectly pitched with their friendly, interested, and helpful approach. Well done all around. My only quibble is that the dining space was just a bit too brightly lit for evening, to my taste.
