   Two of our three meals were okay, one was great. One meal was not as we ordeted. The noise was too loud for conversation.

    We came for brunch for my husband and mine birthdays. The server was attentive, food was awesome. We had steak and eggs and lobster Benny. Oysters, calamari to start and a bottle of wine at 3pm for happy hour ($25) we stayed 3 hours and had an amazing time. We got creme brûlée for our b day desert on the house. I can’t wait to go back. The best of a classic experience!

    Service was awesome! Food was fantastic, came out extremely fast ! Noise level high but we could still hear each other talk, we were in a corner booth. Went for my anniversary and a complementary dessert was given. What a nice touch. :) Will definitely be going back!

    This restaurant have staff that understand service! So appreciated. Delicious happy hour menu snd love the vodka martinis!... they know how to make them!

    Classy with old world charm restaurant. Top notch service. Our waiter, Eddie, was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and well presented. Generous portions with decent prices. Romantic and lively place.

    Went for happy hour and all was excellent. The prawn tacos and calamari were delicious. Service as usual didn’t disappoint.

    The room still looks incredible and is timelessly comfortable. Our lunch and wine were excellent as well, though the highlight of the experience was the service. Simply put, Tim was outstanding and took impeccable care of us with ease and charm. Thank you.

    Reservations desk staff accommodated our request for an earlier time. When we arrived a little early, Brian, very politely let us know that our table was still being occupied but would be ready soon. We loved the history of the restaurant being named after a kind man, important to the community in Vancouver. After being seated, our waiter, Wade, explained the menu, was pleasant, funny and accommodating. Brian had the servers bring us a complimentary appetizer for our patience. It was delicious, as was the rest of the meals that we ordered. Wade initially addressed the person in our party who was having a birthday and she felt special. Later he brought a complimentary creme brule with a candle. The food and Desserts were all delicious with wonderful presentations. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family, and we look forward to the time when we can return for a meal. Thank you.

    As always, our Dinner/Dining experience was amazing!!! My wife and I have always had a wonderful meal and experience at Joe's. Highly recommend the Carrot Cake after dinner ;)

    Started with a clam chowder and lobster bisque that could have been seasoned better. Seafood linguine was outstanding, rib eye was cooked to perfection. Service was the best in a very long time. Cocktails perfect, all round great night.

    Can’t believe they serve 2 day old fresh baby oysters. No meat. So small that I can’t see anything but 1mm thinnest of membrane in the shell. Used to go every week for their oysters and they are normal size but not this time. The service and waiters are great though.

    We made a reservation for brunch and were seated right away. Our server was fabulous and we really enjoyed our food and drinks. The shrimp/lobster roll on fresh bread was wonderful and the fish n’chips portion included two generous pieces. French fries were served hot which is always a plus. Bloody Mary’s were our least favorite item. More like vodka and tomato juice with a small amount of spice. Nothing fancy.

    Good and atmosphere was great. The service was unfortunately a major let down with no side arriving with a $70 steak and the waiter not checking on us so we could not rectify the situation. The waiter eventually came over and told us we should have told him earlier and that the kitchen was busy. Unfortunately it was not possibly to tell him earlier as he did not come near our table for the duration of the main meal being served. He never asked if we wanted them just cleared the table. He then arrived with our dessert and fries were served with the desert which we found bizzare as our meal was long over and we did not want fries with our dessert. The service let down the over all experience.

    Super fresh seafood (we only had seafood dishes) with both classic and creative dishes that are full of flavour and presented wonderfully. Very knowledgeable and professional wait staff and food runners make the experience a delight. The atmosphere is at once sophisticated and casual - a very cool and unique balance and maybe the only place in Vancouver like this. Happy Hour is daily and while the menu is obviously limited the food is no less spectacular. Best to make a reservation on more high-traffic afternoons! I can't imagine any way to have a less-than-great experience here!!!
