This time round, this was a complete disappointment. They have this ridiculous 1.5hr service, where you are in and out - we arrived on time and food came out quickly and we ATE quickly, however there was only 15 minutes left until our 1.5hrs was up and they said we could not order dessert and we needed to start preparing to leave. Absolute appalling service - if we ordered loads of booze, they would have given us additional time. They really need to rethink their seating times - worst customer service, totally lets down the NED.
Lovely, interesting food in great ambience - beautiful building. Helpful and friendly staff.
Sat at a high table, shoulder to shoulder with others and noisy. Not a great option for a business lunch.
The food was delicious and good service from the staff
The pork dumplings were pretty nice. I ordered 2 portions so much I liked. The fail of the restaurant was not asked about allergens, and I had to ask to be able to guarantee I could eat. I gave the feedback to them at the day as well.
They were rushing us to get us out of our spot so they could seat someone more people. Seemed rather strange considering their pricing and what we were spending. I have had better quality and quantities of sushi at other places. The atmosphere was really cool with the live music. The dessert was a really impressive presentation and taste.
Service was terrible. Very slow and we had to order twice as they had ‘run out of paper’. Not heading back anytime soon
Brilliant location..lovely decor
Lamb cutlets cooked to perfection.
Tender aubergine and dumplings.
Will be back!
Really lovely food, especially poke bowls. Great for a quick bite to eat in the city but usually v busy so be sure to book.
Great food in a beautiful location, particularly with the Christmas decorations!
Disappointing portion sizes for the price of the food and generally poor service that definitely did not match the prices!
Very cool vibe and food was excellent. But be willing to shout if you want a conversation - very loud!
Waited 10mins to be seated. Food was ok, it was better the last time we went. Found a hair in food. Pork broth was ridiculously salty.
I wouldn't recommend it if the friend knows Japanese food and has certain expectations. The food was good but can't compare to real Japanese food or food I tried in other places.
If the friend has never tried japanese food, then i would recommend it
I loved this venue and the meal. My only issue was with the seating. I was far too close to the person next to me. So close we kept knowing hands as we both speak with out hands. The service was lovely, and the food absolutely delicious.
A beautiful building, perfect scenario for an invigorating lunch. The noise however, is awful and even disrupting. The service is impecable and the drinks and food selection (restaurants) of great quality.
Great food, really unusual flavours, especially the seaweed and lamb chops. It's pretty expensive £122 for 2 people with 2 courses and 2 drinks each, but this is the city. The live music coming from the other end of the Ned was fun. We were advised several times they would need the table after our 90 minute booking, and we had about 15 minutes grace on this, but you won't be lingering over coffee here! Definitely worth a a visit.
I gave feedback on the night and specifically came back the following night and spoke to the manager Oliver
The Sunday brunch has a good variety and quality of food. Great service too. The only thing I would say is that the lower tables were too close together. So the high sharing long table was the only option. However, we would definitely go again.
Gorgeous, tasty food in a very trendy place. Attentive and friendly service. Love eating here.
Good food and atmosphere in a beautiful building. However, it took a few rounds for the host to seat us somewhere acceptable and after she kept repeating the fact that even if we seat in a different area we will still get only 1.5hr at the table. I didn’t find it welcoming.
Kaia is a favourite spot, the food was delicious as always, the only shame was feeling hurried from the moment we arrived, constantly being pressed to order and being reminded that they are busy (despite lots of spare seats) and that we need to move on quickly, the staff seemed irritated when we ordered things. Hopefully they will improve this for future guests.
The Sushi is delicious and very fresh. The hot option are good too. The service is not great unfortunately. But great atmosphere and beautiful venue. I would recommend you try it.
Food was fantastic! Service was very attentive but the only thing which was annoying we felt rushed even though there was lots of seats free. Great place overall!
Good food and service. A bit pricey for a relatively modest lunch, but that was largely down to the dashing.
My go to place in the city! Quality is amazing for £30-50 a head
Great meal but we were hushed out quickly
Great server great food really fun atmosphere.
Would have been nice with a selection of soft drinks and/or coffee included in the price
Very good. Great atmosphere! Kaia was a great restaurant to sit in and be in the atmosphere but far enough away to have a conversation.
Food, ambience and overal restaurant experience was great but service was a bit hectic.
Nice team, available and helpful. Good menu, food was lovely. Would prefer to sit at a table rather than a bench. Nowhere to hang coats.
Another amazing experience enjoyed by all
Not bad . Location very cahotic
The Ned is beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. The service was good at Kaia but the food was lacklustre. The yam fries were good but everything else was ok (veggie omakase, black cod dumplings, aubergine and the broccoli tempura was terrible)! I would go to the Ned for drinks and try a different restaurant next time.
High standards nice venue. Would go again with wine choice very good. It’s a tad pricey but as special treat it’s good
Far too noisy! The Ned was absolutely packed; would not be going back in the evening.
Felt like I was eating at the airport-
Very much get you fed and out
Food are lovely, although choice are limited.
Birthday meal for a little, which she throughly enjoy the experience. Service from staff are good and attentive.
Amazing food, lovely ambience and great service for the Sunday buffet. Would love to return.
