   The Sunday menu at Kala is astonishing; incredible food, fantastic variety. The staff were great too. You have to try the honeycomb ice cream dessert

   Best roast dinner in Manchester! Enjoyed it with my mum for mother's Day we had the beef and a pudding each (parkin was incredible). Will definitely be back again to work my way through the menu thanks to the staff as well for making us feel so welcome

    We loved our evening at Kala. We've been to other restaurants owned by the same company and weren't disappointed. The service was very efficient and friendly and the food lovely - especially their famous custard tart. The only comment I would make, as a pescatarian, is that there wasn't much choice on the menu for me. I had the veggie mushroom dish, but would have had the fish apart from the fact it was £6 extra. Another veggie or vegan option would be good. But overall it was a lovely evening.

    Had heard good things about this restaurant but sadly the food was a bit of a disappointment. We felt the food was overpriced and not very well cooked. Hard to complain at the time as the service was very friendly

    This Restaurant has to be my favourite in Manchester which does the best Sunday roast dinner I have had which costs a lot less than some of the others claiming to be the best

    Held table for us due to traffic delay. Friendly welcome and helpful service. Menu choice was varied and unpretentiously described. Food was excellent; really tasty (complementary) mixes of flavours and textures. Thought we’d probably only need two courses but given the quality of starters and mains we consumed two puddings too! Thanks. Will recommend and, when we’re next In Manchester, will visit again.

    A lovely find. We went with 2 kids - 9 and 5 - after a show. The staff made them feel very welcome. The kids menu was healthy and nutritious and delicious. My starter of goat's cheese ravioli was literally to die for... I think I'd just order that if I went again.

    Really great restaurant. Booked for a family dinner and everyone loved it. It was our last night in Manchester and it made our trip go out on a high. Staff were great, manager was very helpful. We had a pram and he offered to help carry it up. Really recommend

    Very friendly, service and food very good. Disappointed with the service charge that seems to becoming a regular occurrence in Manchester these days. We alway tip if we're happy, but never like being told the amount.

    The quality of the food shines through here. A lot of reviews mention how good the beef fratherblade main is, and I add my own compliments, it’s one of the best beef dishes I’ve eaten. Excellent vegetarian options too, and great drinks and service. Will definitely return.

    Came here for an early dinner after getting married in a small civil ceremony with my now husband and our parents, and we couldn’t be happier with how our evening went! Everybody was delighted with the food, the service was lovely, and the value for money with the quality of food and drink we received was spot on. They even had separate dairy free menus for my husband and I (allergies), which we rarely get anywhere else, meaning we weren’t made to feel like our dietary restrictions were a pain. I’m sorry we don’t know our waiter’s name but they were brilliant - we were very well looked after. Thank you for such a lovely end to our wedding day! x

    Big fan of Kala but the Valentines Day dinner was hugely disappointing. Charged £69 for three courses instead of the usual £47 for a subpar experience. The starter was cold, they had run out of the lamb by 7:30pm so had to get the vegetarian gnocchi which were far too lemony. Desert was good but nothing compared to the usual options. You’re better than that Kala…

    Lovely meal for Valentines day but the waiters definitely seemed to be short staffed at the beginning of the meal and could have done with an extra host to seat lots of small tables at the beginning of the night

    Very efficient and happy place - even the chefs ! The food was delicious (we were there for the Sunday menu) and the service was quick, friendly and complete (it is nice to be asked if we want water at the table without us having to ask for it !). We were using an ‘Elite Bistros’ voucher given to us as a gift, and as at other restaurants in the group this was so easy to use - just hand it to your waiter when requesting the bill.
