At Kubo, we offer an intimate omakase experience in the heart of Old San Juan. Our rooftop counter overlooks the city’s historic streets and ocean breeze, creating a setting that feels both vibrant and private. Chef Moon guides guests through a seasonal tasting menu that blends tradition with creativity, highlighting the best seafood alongside thoughtful accompaniments. With only a handful of seats each evening, every guest becomes part of the experience—sharing stories, flavors, and a connection to the craft. To complement the menu, we offer optional sake, wine, and japanese whiskey as well as a rooftop bar where cocktails can be enjoyed before or after your seating. More than a meal, Kubo is a place to pause above the city and savor the artistry of omakase.

Our 14-course omakase is a journey through seasonality, technique, and storytelling — blending the precision of Japanese Edomae tradition with the vibrant soul of Filipino chef’s. Each course is presented directly by the chef, showcasing market-fresh fish, local ingredients, and house-curated accompaniments designed to engage all senses. What an amazing experience. The food EXCEPTIONAL. The experience EXCEPTIONAL. We felt like we were hanging out with the chefs and eating amazing food. Highly recommended! Will recommend to everyone we know. BRAVO!

The service and attention of Brandon, Cuatro (the chef-sorry if misspelled), and the bartender was spectacular. The food was divine. The overall space is perfect. Beautiful views of the San Juan Bay, great setting fabulous dinning area to the last detail, intimate etc. Price of single malt whisky was extremely high ($36) (and I had two) and I was charged $6 for two BIG ROCKS of ICE that I found totally unacceptable. I would go back for the Omakase but not for drinks. Also, although not the fault of the establishment, there was a power outage in the Old City and there was no concession made by management for the inconvenience caused by having no power and that had us without power for over an hour of the otherwise wonderful Omakase experience.

Absolutely fell in love with this place. ✨ From the beautiful setting and incredible view to the impeccable service, amazing cocktails, and, above all, the food—everything was exceptional. A truly unforgettable omakase experience from beginning to end. Absolutely spectacular! 🤍🥂🍣

From the moment I walked into Kubo Omakase, I felt welcomed. The omakase experience itself was fantastic, each course felt thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and the chefs explained everything with real passion. The staff were warm and attentive all night. What really stood out was the rooftop setting, the view is stunning, and it pairs perfectly with their cocktails for a relaxed, elevated vibe. Overall, it was a memorable night out that I would highly recommend.

Just did the 14- course omakase at Kubo and it was an experience. From the first bite to the last, everything felt intentional. The pacing was perfect - never rushed, never dragging. You can tell the chef really cares about seasonality and balance. Vibe is intimate and focused. Service was impeccable from the welcoming to the end of my visit. Attentive, warm, and made the whole experience feel special. Already planning to go back!

What an amazing experience. This place, the food and the people are top notch! From the moment we walked in the door until we left, we were blown away. Might be the best restaurant we have ever been to - not just in OSJ - anywhere in the world. Excellent!! Expensive but definitely worth it.
