If you like steak, burgers, ribs, seafood and Italian cuisine, Lakeside Restaurant and Bar has your name on it. Located at the heart of Packanack Lake in Wayne, New Jersey, you’ll find a warm atmosphere and no-frills ambiance at Lakeside Restaurant and Bar.

That being said, the menu is serious business. The restaurant serves fried calamari, an “eggplant tower” that is piled high with feta cheese, top neck clams, bacon macaroni and cheese and much more. There are weekly specials that include $13 Pasta Tuesdays and $18 Chicken and Ribs Thursdays. On weekends the chef creates a special menu with a choice of appetizers, salads and entrees in addition to the already extensive menu. There is also a kids' menu and a dessert menu that features a flourless brownie and chocolate lava cake. Best of all, Lakeside Restaurant and Bar has a warm and friendly staff willing to go the extra distance to satisfy..

The music from the other room was very nice. Food was very good and the drinks were typical bar drinks. It was a good choice for a gathering

We sat in the dinning room no ambiance and the service was just OK. Wanted to sit in the area where you can see the lake but the bar was so crowded and noisey so we sat in the room near the street. Will not return

                                                                                                                                            My husband and I made a reservation for Father's Day. Clearly we didn't need one as there were very few people in the restaurant/bar besides us, perhaps 5 others. We were quite disappointed with the service at the bar as the server was quite engrossed with the others at the bar. Lots of looking at cell phone photos/videos and talking seemed to distract her. Although she was polite and friendly it took 15 minutes at least for our order to be taken and another 1/2 hour for the food to come out. Our order was pretty simple, 2 sandwiches w/ fries and a salad. The music, though of my generation, was fairly loud for the minimal amount of patrons.

Beautiful view by the bar area. Multiple seating options if you want a more festive environment or a more quiet/formal setting. Food and service were excellent.

                                                                                                                                            Went to have dinner before listening to the KOOTZ. Our house salads were very good and huge. Could have shared. My husbands Million Dollar sandwich was delicious. I was going to order but changed to Fish and Chips. Waitress suggestion. The portion was large but the fish seemed to be soaked in oil and overcooked . Very greasy. Fries were good but a little greasy as well. Drinks from the bar were good.
