    While the location of Lantern's Edge is convenient for guests and the majority of the staff are outstanding, friendly and helpful, the breakfast was "subpar", and this was voiced by several of our family members, even though we didn't dine together on the same day. The breakfast omlets had funny tastes and the greek yogurt parfaits also had stranges texture and taste. For what they charged us for the food, we would have expected better. Second morning, we all decided to go into the Lantern District in Dana Point to have breakfast and we were much happier.

    Great service and brunch in chaotic conditions. They are serving in a building away from kitchen during remodel. The renovations should be beautiful. We will come back when finished.

    We specifically requested a quiet, romantic table. Instead, they sat us on the patio, which was empty except for one large group — and they put us right next to them. That group was loud and obnoxious the entire time. Then it took over 15 minutes for our waitress to take a drink order that was just two glasses of wine, and another 20 minutes for the wine to actually show up. While we waited, another couple got seated near us and was completely ignored — they eventually just got up and left. Food finally arrived almost 50 minutes into our visit, and it was bland at best. We were fine with the construction going on — we knew about that ahead of time and didn’t mind. But the terrible service, ignoring our advance request for a quiet table, and the bland food? That’s inexcusable. Do not recommend. We won’t be back.

    Major construction at the hotel resulted in a pop up restaurant that does not meet expectations. Stay away until remodel is done in 2027.

    Food is overpriced for what you get. Restaurant is in a temporary location because of renovations which doesn’t support the price level. 20% mandatory service fee.

    The experience was wonderful. Bianca is a great server. She was so wonderful. She took time to explain items on the menu, and has a great attitude. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our dinner. Highly recommend!!

    Booked a table to celebrate a birthday with a view of what was supposed to be of the harbor. However, I received a text 30 mins before the reservation stating the hotel was under renovation and would not be getting the outdoor seating or view. It would have been great if they marketed this on their website instead of how it was announced. It also didn’t help that our server was not great. She didn’t know the menu, and couldn’t help us with questions about cocktail drinks. We asked how a drink was and she simply said, “it’s good” and he (as in the bartender) “he makes it good.” I was not impressed with the money we spent and what we received in return.

    Considering eating here? I'd skip it. For the price the food isn't great. The service is pretty bad for how quiet the restaurant is. And the presentation on my kid's plate was careless, zero respect for the customer.

    Very few diners but service was slow. Nice waiter but eternity in between salad & entree. Salad was enormous & could have been a meal onto itself. Was totally full & wanted to leave but had to wait for my entree which I no longer wanted due to salad (which I didn’t finish) & severe delay betw salad & entree. Waiter knew I was growing frustrated so he took my glass of wine off the bill. I had a long flight day & was up well before dawn so I didn’t need to close out my day like this.
