South End was home to Charlotte’s first railroad line, connecting us to Columbia and Charleston, SC in the mid-1800’s. “Link & Pin” is an old railroad term. A “Link” was installed on one railcar then, as the two railcars were joined, a “Pin” was manually inserted into the other railcar’s link, holding the two railcars together. Since we are in Historic South End and on a light rail stop, we felt the name Link & Pin was a good fit.

Great food and amazing service! It was our first time there and the waiter was very tentative and walked us through the menu to answer all questions! Suggested great appetizers and even brought us a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating our anniversary! Would recommend to anyone!

Our server Monique was amazing- she recommended the Lake Love cocktail and it so now a new favorite of mine!! The duck fat fried flounder is so flavorful, I even added truffle butter on the side to put on top!! The Brussels sprouts taste so good you have to order them as well!

We had brunch at Link & Pin on Sunday, and it was quite noisy and hot on the patio. We asked to be reseated inside, and they accommodated our request. The food was very good, and Devin provided excellent service. The staff was very professional. We would return, and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice restaurant in the Southend area.

Food was good. Wait for the food was a bit longer than normal but turned out to be worth the wait. They validate your parking ticket so that’s a plus for sure. Will visit again.

The server said, “I hood you all come back and choose me, I’ll be a better server next time.” We waited over an hour for our food. The management was great at trying to assist, but it was too late. The food wasn’t good, unfortunately, after the extended wait.

Visited Link & Pin last night for my birthday, everything was amazing. Our waitress was Tatianna and she made sure that the dining experience was great! She was very patient and friendly. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta, it was a little spicy for my taste. If you love a kick to your food, order this. The white sangria was very good too! We sat on the patio, which was cool and not hot. Very nice ambiance. Parking is also convenient. I would definitely return back!

This new location is great - it feels cozy but elegant and at the same time. Our server was very attentive and professional. Our group of 4 started off with the Candied Jalapeño Bacon appetizer and mimosa tray; both were delicious. We also had the Avocado BLT Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Chicken & Waffles, 3 Egg Omelet + Potato Hash, and the Nashville Hot Chicken. Fun fact: their chicken is hand-breaded and super fresh. We ended with the chocolate cake dessert. 10/10 experience.

Everything was EXCELLENT!!! The only detractor was that the dining room was a bit warm. I did ask the manager to turn the air down and she did but it was still a little warm in there.

Overall, pretty good experience which is consistent with my visits. Service was a little lacking this time. Waited a while before order was taken. Server took order first at table of guests that were seated after us and then when finished walked past our table. We had to call her. Her follow up after food was served was good. Also appreciated the GM stopping by to to inquire about experience.

First time visiting Link n Pin. Quick seating our server John was on point with everything he knew the menu front and back and the drinks he suggested were spot on. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a good evening out of food and drinks.

Our server John was the best! He was so professional, had a great personality, knew all about the menu and cocktails. He kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything and made sure we had the best experience. I've been coming to Link and Pin for a few years now and he was by far the best server I've had to date. Thank you for always having delicious food as well no matter what I eat... shout out to the cook and to the bartender for being so accommodating!

First time eating here. Probably will not go back. The food was ok, nothing great. Ordered the cauliflower appetizer - a decent amount of food but just average. Ordered the lobster roll for dinner with the truffle parmesan fries. The lobster was a little tough and the roll was difficult to manage. Too big to pick up and eat with your hands but also difficult to cut with a knife and fork. The fries didn't taste like truffle at all and were extremely greasy. The service was both good and really bad. The server was training another new server. Not sure how the new guy even got hired. He was beyond bad - poor speech, poor grammar, difficult to hear and ZERO personality. The server who was training him was fantastic but obviously was embarrassed for his trainee. Oh well, you win some you lose some. This was a loss.
