The environment was very unique but the people spoke for themselves. I appreciate the variety in the community and I am always awed by the new perspectives cheese lovers introduce.

I love the food here and brought my fiancé and her visiting mother tonight (Sunday) to show her the Boston food scene — dinner reservation booked on OpenTable. On arrival we were told they weren't serving dinner: no dinner menus, just a few snacks (chips and dip, a salad, deviled eggs). We asked about ordering from Alden & Harlow downstairs and were told no. Nobody could say whether it was a one-night thing or a permanent change. We ordered a couple of snacks out of courtesy and left after 20 minutes to eat elsewhere. The food is genuinely good, so a one-star review doesn't feel right — but the evening was a real letdown. Call ahead and confirm dinner is actually being served before you go.

We’ve had so many friends rave about Longfellows, but our experience was rough. Showed up for our 5PM reservation and we were seated upstairs in their gorgeous bar, but that’s where the fun stopped. Kitchen was closed, which we only learned after 20m of looking at our menus. Our drinks - 4 cocktails - took 50m to come out. Noise was impressive for a fairly empty night, especially upstairs - the acoustics of their old-fashioned conical roof don’t exactly tamp down sounds. A very disorienting and disappointing experience overall.

The service and food were outstanding! This was the second time I've been there, and this time, I had a large group with me. I kept having to update the reservation number, and they were so accommodating. Food and drinks were excellent!

Drinks were good (except for the espresso martinis which tasted like they were previously frozen and defrosted somehow) but took at least 30 minutes to get our first round. Food was so salty that it was nearly inedible, got the fries and pigs in a blanket. Very overpriced for what felt like frozen food. They wanted to charge $14 for 1.5 eggs for deviled eggs (as in 3 halves). Personally would not return.
