Clay was a wonderful server and made the experience. From explaining the menu to making sure we were comfortable with the atmosphere. I loved everything about our visit.

First visit to Luce Livonia since the changeover from Andiamo. First thing noticed is the clean white table cloths seem to pick up an attractive glow. The updated furniture and the dark walls are now white and gray and the booths a black with navy upholstery. When I mentioned the updates the waiter informed us wall decorations and other trim will be forthcoming. The menu has an array of options with everything a’ la carte and an extensive wine and drink list. My wife and I usually order distinctly different items but this time we both chose veal and spaghetti. She the veal picata and a ceasar salad and I the veal parmesan and Michigan salad. It was at this point, the hill started heading downward. The salads were fresh and but lettuce with a puddle of dressing on top and was not the most attractive serving. Both salads needing to be tossed to move the dressing around a bit. When the entrees were presented, the picata appeared appropriate but my veal parmesan should have never left the kitchen. The quantity was generous but three veal patty, burnt around the edges and having a burnt aroma was a shameful presentation. I’ve had burnt ends in Kansas City but burnt veal in Livonia is not on my preferred list. We should probably mention that both veal items were so tasteless that my wife and I both agreed that it was a shame that a calf had to lose it’s life for this. When the manager visited our table I was surprised that he would even ask how the meal was when it was obvious that I did not eat mine. He did offer a free desert but we declined and he removed the distasteful meal from the table. The final surprise was the bill included both veal items. I am grateful that there was no argument when I requested the item be removed from the bill. I believe it was a generous offer for the manager to leave his business card with a note that I will receive a free entrée on my next visit. Since I don’t imagine there will be a next visit, I left his card on the table.

For a restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago, it was a great dining experience. Food and service was great.

Lasagna, bruschetta, calamari, and risotto served with salmon were amazing! Chicken Marsala didn’t hit the mark. Mixed drinks were good. It is pretty noisy and difficult to hear across a 6top table in the main dining area.

I booked a reservation at Luce through OpenTable, specifically planning to use my Chase $150 dining credit. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. Despite making the reservation through OpenTable, the restaurant was unable to process my Chase credit card. We tried three times using their payment terminal, and the card was declined each time. This was particularly frustrating since I had specifically chosen the restaurant to take advantage of my Chase dining benefit. To make matters worse, the service was below expectations, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. While the food itself was excellent and definitely the highlight of the evening, the overall dining experience fell short. It's disappointing when a restaurant delivers great food but struggles with basic payment processing and customer service. I hope management addresses these issues, as they significantly affected what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.

Our food was delicious, the bread was great. Salads were delicious, lasagna, NY Strip and Filet were amazing. Our server- Caroline was very good. She took great care of us. The only issues were the menus- what was listed on the Village Salad was different than what was on the salad when it came and also the potato listed on the menu was different than what we were served.

Tried Luce after receiving an email about a grand opening. Arrived at 745 on a Friday night and the parking lot was not busy, first bad sign. Walked in to the host stand to get our table. Looking around, the bar area was empty and the dining room had maybe 6 tables occupied, more bad signs. We were promptly seated and were asked to be patient because they haven’t been busy and weren’t prepared for this crowd, now 7 tables. After waiting 15 minutes without service I went to the bar to get our drinks. The bartender seemed new and struggled with 2 wines and a draft beer. Wasn’t familiar with the register, tape ran out of credit card machine. Took 15 minutes for 3 drinks. Got back to the table and a waiter finally showed up, apologizing for some communication mix up, didn’t know he had our table. A manager came by and apologized for the delay and offered desserts on the house. Everything was fine after, food was good and we ordered desserts. When the bill came they had credited only 1 of the 4 desserts we ordered. This was already a disaster night so just wanted to pay a go. I still tipped 20% but not happy. The food was ok but over priced, service speed was horrible, people were friendly. I won’t be returning here.

It was opening weekend so some bumps were to be expected. They were very short staffed so the hostess actually waited on us. When we left I went to grab an Andes mint but they were gone so I asked the waiter near by where they were and he said he ate them and kept going. Luckily someone overheard and came to get us some. I hope they hire more waitstaff. I had the lasagna and it was delicious. It was actually very flavorful and so was the spinach, artichoke dip and the Caesar salad. Everyone else had the fillet and they said it was very good.

the best Italian food I’ve had, wonderful atmosphere, extremely large selection of wine especially the red. Wonderful waitress and wonderful staff in general! 10/10
