   Pros - Nice environment Cons- Not sufficient space to sit. Some of my guests where not allowed to enter although they quoted the name under which the reservation had been made and I had to go and pick them up at the entrance. Very loud environment. Ridiculously overpriced drinks. Really early closure time.

   Been to Mala a few times and it's always been good, sometimes a wait for food but that's fair and the servers are usually very friendly. Booked a "cosy cabin" for 8 however and it couldn't be far from the name. It was just a standard bench which wouldn't be bad if there wasn't a tree stuck in it dripping water over half the table.

   Only down side is the cabins are not warm at all - if you book one I suggest bringing a decent coat

   A beautiful setting for a first date - great live music played, but not overly loud from where we were sat in the bean bags. Staff are all friendly, drinks arrived quick with the table service and they have a great range to choose from. Mala is one of my favourite places in Manchester!

   The most amazing atmosphere and The cabins were beautiful. The only thing was when we were there we had to wait around 20 minutes for one section of the food to come up on the website and then another ten minutes for the rest of the food to come up. The cocktails were lovely though

   My “seats” which I reserved was a bench sat a milimetre away from another group which is so awkward no privacy at all, table was so small couldn’t even fit my partners and my food on the table. My food came 30 mins before my partners , so we had to eat separately- so much for a nice valentines dinner. I had my food and my drink spilled on me by the waiter, not their fault but the fault of the way the restaurant is laid out because it’s so impractical. Would not recommend to anyone.

    Absolutely wonderful visit to Mala at the weekend for date night with boyfriend. We booked a 'cosy cabin' and it was great. Used QR code to order drinks/food and both were of really high quality. A little wait on the drinks but to be expected considering the nature of the establishment. Only small critism is that the booths aren't heated/insulated so did have to wear my coat the whole time but that can't complain too much. Friendly staff and good vibes. Will definitely visit again.

    Service and the time for the food to come out was great. The wait time was superb. Beverages were nice, though pricey, but similar too the area. My biggest issue was food. I had the brisket sandwich, priced at nearly £15. What came out was the thinnest slice of brisket ( just one ) between the shallowest depth of hot dog bun I’ve ever come across, it was like a soft bread stick. I could barely get a real sense of the flavour of the brisket because it was so minuscule. Paired with that was a meagre portion of chips and like a paper sauce-cup of slaw, which if you’re going to skimp on the sandwich, at least balance it out with the sides. I was HUNGRY still at the end. I ended up having to get another plate of chicken wings. The flavour and texture of the wings was nice but still, portions weren’t great . I get money’s tight for everyone, but surely, you shouldn’t be charging that much for so little, it’s not right.

    Visited Mala for the first time last minute. We really enjoyed the vibe of the place. Drinks were fantastic (try the Scottish sangria!). The service was really quick when you ordered a drink. Food was tasty. Music was good. I would defo return!

    Lovely place, the decor and different areas are great. The food was excellent and they cater very well for veggies and vegans with food that meat eaters will love as well. They missed one of our orders but we were in a big party and they soon rectified it. I would say the DJs are a bit loud considering it’s the kind of place to just sit and chat, the music was good though

    Lovely place, great for groups, food is good it reflects the price, service is lacking on the basics such as water and check backs on food but I would still come back
